First, in game internet radio: only radio stations I've found so far that I consistently enjoy: Roxy FM (PL) and France Bleu if I'm in the mood to test my French a bit. Lots of poppy stuff in Euro internet radio, yet not many of what we'd call "classic" rock, or "alternative" rock in the U.S. Roxy FM is about the closest thing I've found.

Second trucking music. No idea if any analogue exists in European culture, but in the U.S. up through about the 1980s, trucking, truckers, and songs about trucking were a pretty common theme in country & western music and a number of cinematic productions. I'm sure most of you have heard of Smokie and the Bandit, right? I loved that movie when I was like 10 years old, had a CB and used to talk to the truckers out on I-70!

Anyway, check these out. Anything remotely resembling this in European music culture?

Had a cassette tape we used to play when I was in High School that had this on it! We thought it was fricking hilarious to be jamming this while riding around in a Chevette or Mom's station wagon

I've slung together a few of my favorite "road trip" songs into a playlist on Youtube. Pretty wide mixture of "classic rock," industrial, metal, punk, weird 'alternative' stuff (e.g., Dead Can Dance). Pretty happy with all the songs, but the order is just 'vague;' right now I've got them sequenced so you get some variability but not too much (I hope), but I reckon a lot of the transitions could be improved.

I have a tendency to rip my CD's to one big MP3 file with CDex, and then put a bunch of them in the playlist in WinAmp and start t up when I turn my computer on and just let it run all day. Today I have all Rush albums playing from their first to their last, in order of release. Yesterday I was listening to Little Feat all day the same way. I can pretty much do that with any band I want to listen to, because if I listen to them, chances are I have all or most of their CD's. There are of course some bands that I liked for part but not all of their music. Queensryche is a good example of that. When Chris DeGarmo left the band their sound changed drastically and I didn't care for the new sound. (Or the Drama Queensryche BS...) So I only have about half of their albums.

I tend to listen to talk radio while on the road and do so via tabbign out to web players as I need, and using my IPAD which is mounted
on a stand next to my PC monitor.

But, there are times I listen to music.
For serious sessions I groove on this.
