Re: Your favourite driving songs?
Hopefully i will still be alive to see that song be used in the ATS New York DLC trailer, because basically the song lyrics are about a trucker who dreams to drive to New York

Tom Petty - Running down a dream
Bruce Springsteen - Dancing in the dark
Boston - Smokin'
George Thorogood - Long gone
And other stuff like that, mostly... when driving IRL. I still can't understand anyone listening to music while playing a race sim.

Steppenwolf - Born to be wild.
This song is always associated by me with going quickly, as it was used in a Anti-Speeding campaign on tv when I was just a little gobbler. They showed that guy racing down the road and having a fatal accident (staged of course)... But somehow, I just memorized it as "Running on a highway, looking for adventure" equals speed. Which is not too far fetched anyway, if you think about it

Re: Your favourite driving songs?
If I'm driving in California the playlist has to include I Can't Drive 55.
Especially for a drive up to Fresno I need to make sure Studebaker is up to remind myself of just how good everything is.
Sure we don't have anything east of Texarkana yet but Eastbound and Down is always a good driving song.
We won't get WV for quite a while yet but Take Me Home, Country Roads is always good on backroads.
I've been listening to a lot of 80s rock while driving around ATS recently but it's really such a relaxing game the playlist depends more on the mood I'm in than the game I'm playing.

Re: Your favourite driving songs?
I don't have a particular favorite Fahren song, it's a compilation of various artists from the 60s and 70s. These songs were all on 2 cassettes from my father, which he always played when we drove in the car.
Since in the car the full concentration should be on the traffic, German-language songs are an absolute taboo for me in the car, because then I'm tempted to pay attention to the lyrics. In the car, your full concentration should be on the traffic.

Re: Your favourite driving songs?
Well, certain ones for Texas come to mind...
"All my Exes Live in Texas" - George Strait
And....
"Blind in Texas" - We Aint Sure Pal. Mind you, both these songs are so different from eachother, you have to have extremely wide taste in music... Ones Country, the other heavy metal. Not to mention that I think the second song is a bit of a dig at Texas, because iirc, We Aint Sure Pal was banned from performing in the state. Likely not due to this song per say, but.... Yeah, song mentions most/half of the cities that are in the game for Texas... Discretion is needed and maturity is certainly required. I just leave it here because it mentions a number of the towns in Texas, not a fan of the song's somewhat satirical message in general.
