You can see that the prop shaft leads to the non-driven (steering) axle and not the driven, last axle.
This is not a game breaking bug/glitch.

The 6x2 and 6x4 share some of their chassis and axle parts... Since 99% of the users never see these things or, even if they see it, they don't notice, it would be extra work for not much profit.

I don't see this as an issue at all. That is the drive axle on a 6x2. The third axle on many is a lift axle. I can snap a pic later of an Actros that is in my neighbourhood with the 3rd axle raised.

Picture as promised. Not the ideal as he is parked on a slope but you can clearly see the back axel is not on the ground. You will also notice that it is not a "Drive" Hub but a "freewheel" hub.
