The worst thing is every update we missed the point of delivery from where we stopped, why have not resolved this until today? unfortunate. Almost all games when you have an update, you never miss the point where you stopped, only in ETS2 2 ATS happens that much anger. I've found a way to not lose my deliveries and save points, but it's time consuming, but that's fine. SCS sort this out please.

Re: Loss of saved points
It's not a bug, it's an intentional action to prevent your game save from being damaged.

EN: Like Moh said it`s needed for the general good! Even if it`s odd sometimes

As they said. Its absolutely best option to protect your profile from damage.

Re: Loss of saved points [NOT A BUG]
Carthoo, I ever wandered why the garage prefabs is any safer than any other point when the map gets updated?
HighTechGG, Personally I take a ride to my HQ before switching to a new game version. As you said, it's quite time consuming, but it's a part of a role play.
I guess that's what you do as well.

Re: Loss of saved points [NOT A BUG]
It would be nice if it could be sent to the nearest garage you own rather than the one listed as your HQ. But it's better than nothing.
Personally I finish any job I am on, then update. Once the game is updated I just use g_set_time and imagine I had a week off and in that time returned home. Too lazy to drive.
But if this system wasn't present it would have caused a lot of issues when France was updated. Imagine being on an old road like the one around Paris, then updating the game and finding yourself falling through void hell because the road isn't there any more.

Re: Loss of saved points [NOT A BUG]
Yes, but that would require a calculation different than routing over roads. But for sure possible and not very complicated, nice idea. Maybe I would buy a second garage, then.
Any road or prefab could be somewhere else than it was. Where this special instance of garage prefab is now the game can compute always, without making use of old coordinates. I doubt that there is any information stored, in a save, on what prefab or what road you currently were.
Because such is completely independent of a saved location. The spawn point of the prefab which represents your main garage is used - no matter where in the map that might be. It can be searched and calculated without dependence from what was where before. This approach will even let you survive a complete reorganization of the map.EvgenKo423 wrote: why the garage prefabs is any safer than any other point when the map gets updated?

Re: Loss of saved points [NOT A BUG]
Roads can appear and disappear, I agree, but it could work like an Emergency Service feature - basically it could teleport you to any nearest prefab, couldn't it?

Re: Loss of saved points [NOT A BUG]
Just one example: What are the implications if you have planned a route for heavy cargo? Update happens, you are teleported to the next prefab, ouch, something unexpected is blocking your way?
Integrity of a gamesave over version update is not simple. Sometimes you need a clean cut.
I don't really like economy resets, and dodge them wherever I can. But I'm glad that my very first profile that I've created in 2013 is still working, despite of all my modding shenanigans. It is my only ETS 2 "gaming" profile I ever created and still use. The others, for testing something, had a rather short life, resting in peace.
