Re: Poll: Choose (3) States you would like to see next
^At some point, SCS definitely has to. They can't charge what they charge for these small states. Arkansas and Louisiana are small enough. Get any smaller for 11.99 and people will have a fit. Bundles have to happen at some point and I'd expect a bundle price. Perhaps 13.99. 17.99 is definitely not the price unless its the size of Texas. Most 2 bundle states could be around Oregon sized but twice as dense. So 11.99 can't be the price imho. Can't go by square miles of the Western states that are 11.99 because of their low density.
Do (2) Arkansas for example. That's probably more density than Oregon is. I haven't checked so don't hold me to that lol. Its figure of speech. But I definitely think the Eastern states are too dense and too small to come unbundled and 11.99. But that's just my opinion. We all will have them.

Re: Poll: Choose (3) States you would like to see next
Looking at Louisiana's 70% User Approval rating on Steam (the lowest of any ATS Map DLC), yeah I think price is going to become a point-of-contention without bundles. Imagine Tennessee alone at 1:20 for $12.
Such a shame really that LA is at 70%, I thought it was amazing; but looking at the negative reviews I was not surprised to see complaints about the scale/size once more.

Re: Poll: Choose (3) States you would like to see next
^I saw that rating this past weekend and I was disappointed as well. I think Louisiana is awesome and very detailed. I don't put a price on quality but the problem is many others do and that is what I'm speaking on. Me personally, I'll pay whatever SCS wants from me. But I know there's a whole world of resistance. Consoles could make or break the effort SCS puts in. We are use to current ATS prices but once consoles gets in on things, that is another audience that will bring comments.
The other reason LA is so low is because its so new. So it doesn't have the high numbers that other dlc's have. Over time, Louisiana rating could/should raise. But when people don't review (myself included), it hurts the overall rating as people just complain because they can. People that buy all dlcs but still complain, smh. I honestly stopped reviewing after like Washington or even Utah. I already committed to buying everything at that point. So I stopped reviewing.
Anywho, I can't wait to see what ATS does with both consoles and PRT. Pavel has to set things right moving forward. He'll want to be very careful. First impression could go a long ways but price has to be right. So to start the next column of states, I think SCS should go at bundles moving forward. (2) columns left really. Texas released and its huge. Its 2-4 states in one. BC is huge and its in the works and its already said we'll only get 2/3s of it. Price unknown. Its time for ATS to get huge bundles like now. As awkward as the next column of states are, solo states could mess up road networks left and right. Soooo might as well get states in chunks to keep road connections linked a bit better. State borders don't make as much sense as city connection do starting with the next column of states.

Your do make a good point Flight. I noticed with Arkansas how easy it was to drive across it and thought wow the states are smaller. I do like the states but I feel like what you said will happen, people arent going to want to pay for smaller and smaller states.
Louisiana to me was fun and I noticed it’s not as large, and when driving to Texas and past Texas it makes Texas feel even larger.

What’s really going to be interesting is how they do DC, it’s so small with so many things they have to include, going o interestinginterstate trav wrote: 26 Feb 2026 15:57 Your do make a good point Flight. Re: Poll: Choose (3) States you would like to see next
We won't get consecutive states from the same team, so 0% chance of this happening.Nated wrote: 23 Feb 2026 00:53 All of that being said, I give it a 98% chance that North Dakota will be teased shortly before Illinois gets released (possibly in April), and will likely get a December release.
The SD team moving to ND puts the ND release at least 12 months after SD.
South Dakota looks to be a second half of the year release and probably the final ATS map DLC for the year.
The next state announced will be where the Illinois team is going and that will release before ND.
And BC may also release before ND.

I think BC might be after ND, which would put it at the two-year mark from its announcement.
Where the Illinois team goes next will tell a lot about the future of the US in the game when it comes to states. Looking at assets currently in the game, Indiana is there, but also Kentucky and Tennessee.
I think Indiana is probably a given after Illinois is released, so the question is…will it be Indiana and more….?

Re: Poll: Choose (3) States you would like to see next
^I'll have to piggyback off that. If the Illinois team does IN+ KY & TN, they too are on a 2 year dlc. That means that BC and IL Teams will be 2027+ maps. I don't see BC coming this year. Not when Pavel said ATS will probably only release 2 maps. That being IL and SD. That leaves the SD team to follow up with ND which should release before BC and whatever the IL Team is doing. Those 2 year plans can easily be 2.5 years. Now if the IL team is doing a solo state (which I hope not) then it will be before ND. The next column of states really have to start bundles. The state borders are just too wacky and linking the cities by state borders becomes quite odd.

Re: Poll: Choose (3) States you would like to see next
I'm starting to wonder if we might see a large Indiana + Kentucky + Tennessee bundle at a higher price.
I don't think this is the likeliest scenario, but none of the three states should probably come solo and Indiana + Ohio would be a very dense and complex DLC. (We also have basically no evidence of Ohio right now so that can be ruled out for now)
We also have some evidence all three states are being worked on, as well as North Dakota, but only two teams currently assigned to US states.
I think the most likely scenario is KY+TN as the next map for the Illinois team, but all three coming in one big bundle is possible, albeit a significant departure from past ATS practices.
We'll know in the next few weeks what the Illinois team is working on next.

Re: Poll: Choose (3) States you would like to see next
I'm all for IN+TN+KY. I'd happily pay 17.99 for that 3 state bundle. Its knocks out a huge portion of the next column for sure. The That is a lot of detail and density packed into an area smaller than Texas by almost 50%. It doesn't match Texas in size of course but it definitely packs a ton. Each state can easily bring 10 cities on avg. That pretty much matches Texas's city count.
The best part is that this 3 state bundle allows the North team to catch up. By time this 3 state bundle is completed, I'd expect SD,ND and probably MN to be in the game. Solid chance WI will be w.i.p. and soon to fill in the North completely by time this bundle could be done. Definitely another 2-3 year project.
