Graphics freeze taking new job [45878]

It isnt only a new job where the game may freeze with black screen and frozen mouse cursor. I've had a freeze on quick travel transition, choosing a job transition, photo manager transition, Here's last half of my log.

basically, this sort of crash requires task manager to kill the program... I only put in part of those dx9 present failed lines, but thats how the log ends.. I dont believe it is caused by the trailer mods, but I will need to check later. This is annoying. If a solution can be found, would be appreciated. And not sure this is related to the above issue, but sure feels similar.

The game still works, you just can't see anything. That's why you have to kill the program, because the game doesn't crash, only the graphics drivers crash.

Well, whatever the case, these crashes started happening with the beta update right before the one that fiddled with the depth of field in the photo manager.

I did send a report to AMD about it... being the 17.11 drivers, the issue seems worse, guess time to attempt to rollback to 17.9...

I had the same problem, but with a RX 460.
I solved it by reparing the directx, following this post:

I'm having similar issues and I'm running 17.7.2 drivers. I honestly doubt it's driver related though as the game was fine until the NM/1.29 update. The OP was wondering if it was isolated to the RX 480 gpus but I'm wondering if it's a RX 400 series issue since I have an RX 470.

EDIT: I did what gabrielbecker suggested and reinstalled/repaired my DirectX install but I'm still having issues. I'm just a little upset since I can run the game in OpenGL for the time being.

Hmm, It seems more of a mouse clicking related thing... For me anyway.. I click drive, and its a tossup whether game goes to drive or freezes. But if I hover over the drive and then hit enter, I go to driving mode, or photo mode. Might be an input device thing, but I find that odd as game log has nothing about input issues...

I also have this problem. It's only occurred when accepting heavy haul jobs. The screen that pops up asks me if I want to review my truck or continue to accept the job, I continue and that's when the bug appears.

I have a Radeon R9 380 and driver 17.7.

Guys I tried to fix my DirectX and ETS2 files but my game couldn't run.
So, the way how I've solved that problem was changing the launch option from steam running in DirectX 64bit mode and quit fast. Now I can run the game.
