SCS as a company do not wish to have paid mods on this forum. While we understand that not all paid mods use the Intellectual Property of other companies/people, it is very hard to moderate what is and isn't acceptable when money is involved. There are also concerns that it could look unfavorable to potential work partners going forward if SCS allow mods that may potentially use unlicensed branding.

Is the driver model missing for anyone else?
Edit: nevermind I've come to find it's not just Eugene's Scania it's happening with SCS trucks too

The only example of a Scania S 8x4 with a normal roof cab and the same style of chassis we get in the game (tank behind cab, streamlined panels on equipment tower) that I've been able to find so far is a Bundeswehr tank transporter (Scania 650 S XT 8x4). I've also seen a 10x4 (the S730 operated by Te Kloeze Bruyl in the Netherlands, which I think was one of the first ones ever delivered). Other than that, basically all the others are either Highlines, or built in a different style (extended chassis with the tanks along the sides and the extra axle in the back).abasstreppas wrote: ↑11 May 2022 20:41 I always thought the normal cab was the most common on 8x4 in real life
The Bundeswehr probably has a bunch of the things, so it's not unique, but most of the private companies that operate these things appear to be springing for the Highline cab.

Yeah this one. Normal cab, but high tower and fairings

Here is an 8x6/4 with the normal cab and low tower, low fairings and side intake

And high cab with 12cm fairings

The blue one is new to me, good find, and the red one I didn't remember as being a CS20N, I thought that was a CS20H...
Most of the "production" 8x4s I've found are Highlines though:
Navigator Transport (has a WSI model made of it)
Strychacz (IIRC this was the first production example, the one Scania demoed in all over grey before it was delivered)
Esser Schwertransporte (also has a CS20H 10x4, which in turn has a WSI model of it)
Walters Group
Donohue Heavy Haulage (has a WSI model made of it)
Felbermayr (I think this one also had a WSI model made of it)
an all-black example from Bulgaria that's on Youtube
And the only real examples of 8x4 NG Scania R I've found are the Danish Army's tank transporters, which are R650 XT Highlines in flat green.

The blue one is cool. Also driving on the front axle (8x6)
