No, SCS never does "demos" for DLC's, but you could buy the DLC, test it in less than 2 hours and request a Steam Refund if you don't like it.

As per JoeAlex, it's not a new game, so it won't have a playable demo. There should be some more streams with devs playing and once it's released you can watch other people's video's to get a sense of whether you want to buy it or not.

I noticed a floating-point circle at the bottom of the screen. As far as I understand, is that a gameplay indicator showing the passengers’ weight distribution, or something like that, for controlling the bus?

Looks to me like it's a g-force meter, similar (but obviously extended in 2 axis) to the one you got in old Bus Driver. Too hard braking and it goes in the red, same for sharp turns and (very unlikely because good luck with that in a heavy vehicle) acceleration. And satisfaction goes down.

In any case, most people will probably just turn it off (hopefully that will be an option) so it doesn’t interfere with immersion.

Just watch the driving part of the video posted on the previous page and you will see exactly what it does.

Yes it’s a G meter, it was demonstrated in one of the third-party hands-on videos from gamescom.

I hope it will be possible to enable g-force indicator in Car mode in ATS. I'd love driving around the various racing tracks of ATS with this indicator.

Given the limited physics that'll be only half satisfying, but I agree I'd like it too. Have to remember which racing games have it...
