If he is talking about map expansions related to a coaching DLC... At best they could add new bus stations, but those require extensive reworks around cities; same rules apply regardless.

Won't happen and won't make sense
All map related stuff are added / reworked for the base games including bus stations / - stops etc

Coaches will be an addon / DLC to the base game

I want to suggest a thing that would make the passenger more realistic. I was playing OMSI Bus Sim, and I noticed that the passengers who are waiting for my bus, are getting ready (making moves) before I reach to the bus stop, and if I stop before or after where they have stand, they come to the bus.
I hope they add this tiny detail instead of just parking in a white rectangle to trigger the NPCs.

Buses require infrastructure in the form of bus stations in cities. Also, the models require more development than cars, interior lighting, animation of doors and possibly luggage compartment hatches, passengers, etc. Of course it takes more time, and the Road Trip was also announced earlier.

Anyway, for me personally it doesn't matter which comes out first, since both will be interesting.

AFAIK we have literally zero idea when it will come out. Could be tomorrow, could be in 2027.

Personally, I think that the COACHES DLC for Euro Truck Simulator should have a higher priority than the ATS Road Trip DLC by all means. Because this game is mainly focused on trucks, and many components of buses, such as the engine and transmission in the power system, the instruments, buttons, and steering wheel in the cab, as well as the wheels and tires used, are basically the same as or even completely identical to those of trucks. Moreover, the manufacturers are the same brands as those of trucks or their subsidiaries.It should be released in the near future, perhaps within half a year, three months later, or even right now, rather than nearly a year from now.

As for ATS Road Trip, I don't understand why a project that has nothing to do with trucks should be released earlier than the COACHES DLC. In fact, if we think in an extreme way, this project shouldn't even exist.

Both Coaches and Road Trip are projects with different teams, so if one is released before the other, it's not a problem.

SCS revealed the first Car Pack of Road Trip today, since when they revealed Coaches, they also revealed the buses that will be part of it, so they needed to do something similar to Road Trip, so they decided to reveal what the first Car Pack would be as part of Road Trip. We still don't know if Road Trip will be released in 2025.

Yeah and? For devs that changes nothing. They are still building them from scratch.
