Hi Cip! Awesome mod!

But there is only one little thing that bothers me a little, is the low variation of the speed of the trucks in the highway. It feels that all of the AI truckers drive at 80kph+, regardless of the freight or the truck itself.
Is there a way to manually change this value?

cip are you sure it still reads .sii? I have non traffic mods using .sii and they did not work (interior camera mod and look backwards cam mod), had to change it manually to .sui in order for the game to use the mods again.
So not sure if scs changed when it comes to traffic related files from .sii to .sui if games actually reads .sii or ignores it and just pretends it is not there.

But did wanna share what i noticed with non traffic mods that used to have .sii and now are .sui, they needed the change to be read by the game and be used/seen in the game (log will not give error for it)

I have for me that I read that they have changed from .sii to .sui

ok, to clarify the .sui vs .sii issue you need to know that traffic files and any other file that has been changed from .sii to .sui (camera, trailers, cargoes, etc) are based on storage files (those starting with @include...) so if the storage file includes the extension .sii the game will read sii files, if it includes .sui, logically the game will read .sui. so to avoid issues you need to have a match between the storage file and the extension of your respective files.
@dougs8756 thanks a lot, but your issue is not coming from my mod. in fact the default trucks and also those from modded traffic trucks have the maximum speed at only 90 km/h. since Ai almost never drive at their maximum speed, besides for trucks that haul semi-trailers and for which their weight is taken into account, it is very normal that your trucks are slower than it should.
if you are aware about my traffic sounds, you know also that I took my freedom (since I need to edit the sii/sui files to add sound links), to correct and improve some rules in the files. one of them was to increase the maximum speed of all new trucks and reduced it for the old trucks (old trucks from mods). I also increased slightly the engine power so Ai trucks will still struggle a bit uphill, but to have more power at straight roads. therefore in my game, trucks drive up to 110 km/h if certain conditions are met.

welcome @qiandras12 , to start all you need to do is to adjust the values in def/world/traffic_rules_spawn.sui if you play with motorcycles, classic and sport cars as separate types you will need to update also the other sui traffic_rules_spawn.cip.sui otherwise leave it unchanged.
each rule starts like in this example: traffic_rule_data : traffic_rule.s_car_l, where car_l means car low density (spawn on local 1x1 roads)
each rule includes a str_params which is our example "car" this is easy to identify to which type of vehicles will apply
also each rule includes groups of 3 num_params rules and the number of these groups is optional but each group must have the 3 parameters (explained below).

	num_params[]: 8.0	# 8:00 (time of the day don't change this, you can add more groups with missing hours for a better density management)
	num_params[]: 1.5	# frequency (in theory number of vehicles which can spawn per second)
	num_params[]: 10 	# count limit (number of maximum cars, in this example, that can spawn at certain point)
for your edits, depending on what you want, you can increase/decrease the count limit in a reasonable way and test. for a larger edit you may also adjust the frequency. good luck!

this is obvioulsy not ETS2, but ATS ... saw this today ...a biker recovered himself... he wasn't really fallen, but had som issues :lol:

the ones I mentioned didn't look like this, then the bike was lifted in some sort of trajectory up in the air and put down on the road again
....sort of reversing the game to the point were it didn't happened...and biker went from there...2nd try so to say

haHha, I haven't seen this but once I hit a moto and it did some back and forth movements before recovering and move on ;) good to know that if not completely fallen a moto can eventually recover :D

Are you saying that the latest version of your mod supports ETS2 1.32-1.38, or that whichever older ETS2 version we use, Steam will automatically update any mods appropriately? So if we had updated to the latest ETS2 1.38 with 1.38 mods, and then we downgraded ETS2 to 1.37, Steam would update (downgrade) any mods to 1.37?

yes @Vigil , exactly but only if those mods will keep support for older game version. basically this is not difficult to achieve, as modder you update your mod and keep a copy of the previous version and make this available in the manifest. however it is not recommended for large mod (like trucks) because the game will store in your PC all available versions. but for traffic files which are less than 1 Mb I could do this so if you downgrade your game to any previous version until 1.32 you will benefit of my mod
