ATS Special Transport

#1 Post by flight50 » 22 Feb 2018 13:27

https://blog.scssoft.com/2018/02/ats-sp ... ng-up.html

Yessssss, it is confirmed.....finally. Those that have seen me speak on it time and time again, I am now satisfied. I can now purchase ETS2 ST. Yes, yes and yes. I knew eventually SCS would do it for ATS. there was no reason not to. This is a feature that both ATS and ETS2 can have. Now ETS2 just needs random events so both can be on the same playing card as far as features. It was just a matter of time for ST in ATS though. They would never confirm whether it was a thought or not. But I am definitely relieved. Thanks SCS team. As usual, there is always something cooking at SCS, lol.

By the looks of the blogged trailer, that dolly has an extra axle. So I would assume that we get a new trailer or two as well. It is super long. Although in testing, the pictured trailer may or may not be the true ST trailer. In due time, all will be revealed. I am now very excited. Oregon revealed and now ST. ATS is already my favorite video game and it just keeps getting better and better. The potential here is too great to not tap into any and every avenue it can possess.

removed mod link

This mod was released last summer and it still works great. I never downloaded it until today. If SCS never gives us a 3rd axle, this mod gives us that wish. I had zero issues on my W900. Thanks XXXXX for making this mod.

updated to remove old mod link from XXXXX that no longer works.

The dolly with the extra axle has been there since the heavy dlc. It was just never used.

I'm happy it's coming. I wonder if ATS will ever get something like this we can only wonder what SCS is planning for loads. an easy one is logging equipment for Oregon.

Actually the trailer looks way longer. The current ones have 5 or 6 axles, the Special Transport one has 9. :D

With Oregon and Special Transport confirmed.......Now if this is not the right time and opportunity,to try and obtain licenses for T800 and T880 and their tri-axles versions,I don't know when it will be.

Who needs a T800 license when you have a GT-Mike posing as a Wolfi to do it.

I agree with Saur44l. Although GT Mike's T610 is awesome, you can't beat a SCS truck. A 8x4 would be awesome to have. With that said, what are the chances SCS is a step ahead of us. We all know that they are tight lipped and only reveal what they know hey can deliver. A new truck or two would send chills thru us, lol.

I'm not a big fan of the standard T800, however, this one looks badass for heavy haul job: T800W, wide nose, no external air filters.

Good to see you finally got your answer, flight50. 😀

I haven't pulled a heavy cargo dlc trailer in a while, but it looks like both the dolly and the stinger have an extra axle.

Like you said, it might not be the final trailer for the dlc, but in the blog they say they want to test run the routes as accurately as possible. So, IMO, I think that will be the dlc trailer, at least for length, number of axles and locations of pivot points.

Mike's T800 was one of my favorite trucks(I really miss that truck),and there is no denying that he is exceptionally talented modder, but he also has his own private life.Plus the game needs more trucks, official ones that is.In ETS2 we already have 8x4 versions for some of the trucks,so why not do the same for ATS if circumstances allow.
