This looks very American to me. It does not need a ride bar ( what ever that is ) and it sure doesn't need any reflective tape...

If it was manufactured more recently and/or if I was going for full modern compliance then yes, it would need DOT C2 tape in all the usual places, some more lighting equipment, and a full-width ICC bumper (because of the slider). However, I thought it might be fun to roll with the original 70's safety equipment. So, more than likely, you'll get some cat-eye reflectors instead. ;)

If I make an ownable version, I might add an option for the DOT tape at least. We'll see.

Looking forward to the release of this trailer. Glad you like the old school trailers. Here is a bit of information for options when ordering a Timpte Super Seal Prior to de regulation back in the day and Great Dane buy out. Extra cross members in the rear of the trailer for the first 5 ft. Heavier vertical corner up rights in the frame and for the nose unit. Door Hinges standard was three order it with 4 door hinges. Door Locks standard was 2 per door option three per door. Side Door options left and right sides or on one side. Normally the right side. Option added insulation in the floor. Meat rails, Meat Hook Rack in the nose. 4 air Chutes in stead of the typical one air chute is required on a meat railer. Provided better air circulation. Great Dane added option air leaf suspension. 8 ft spread axels and a belley mount unit. Rub Rails on the interior sides 1, 2 or 3. Thermo King used a naturally aspirated diesel engine MFG by Perkins 4 cylinder, 4 stroke. Best trailers for the dollars invested, durability and re sale value compared to a Hobbs or Great Dane.

That is very good information to have, Larry. I guess the ownable version will be a little more interesting now... You wouldn't happen to know how those length options/side doors affect the tare weight, would you?

Just a small update today. A few material tweaks, and a very well-worn Timpte logo on the mudflaps now.
