Next ATS truck speculation
Re: Next ATS truck speculation
I watched this video, when the door opened, I felt associations with the old Rolls Royce. Very rich and exclusive.
I translate via Google Translate. Sometimes he does it badly. I beg understand and forgive.

@flight50 What do you think of the Freightliner Classic XL. I hope it gets into ATS and to have the option with a dd60 in game with some proper sound.
Also found a brochure of the Classic XL: http://hhrvresource.com/sites/default/f ... ochure.pdf gotta say the flat top looks amazing.

Re: Next ATS truck speculation
Does anyone have an idea of what the new International truck is that's coming this month. Is it the HX, or something else?

Re: Next ATS truck speculation
HX has been out for months. So its possibly a different truck.
Re: Next ATS truck speculation
My bad, I was thinking is was another SCS teaser tweet. It's International's tweet. At any rate, hopefully either or both are coming soon!
Re: Next ATS truck speculation
All sings point out to an LT facelift.
Re: Next ATS truck speculation
The XL is legit. Its one of the options in the Out of Production Poll in my signature. Its the most requested truck actually and it was one of my votesFalleN_KinG wrote: ↑04 Aug 2022 17:05 @flight50 What do you think of the Freightliner Classic XL. My post are only thoughts and ideas. Don't assume it makes ATS.

Re: Next ATS truck speculation
Yeah, it will be nice to see official Classic XL, not a mod in ATS. Pure classic. But unfortunately this model has not been produced for a long time, if I'm not mistaken, since 2010. So the chance is almost zero. Even old Coronado has little chance, so only 122/132SD remains.
I guess that the next truck in ATS could be Volvo VNL.

Re: Next ATS truck speculation
Could? Outside of the at this point very remote chance of another new truck reveal from Daimler I think that's almost a certainty. I think that 2019 sound blog was pretty much the entire line-up of upcoming trucks in the works at that time. The New VNL's the last one on that list, and don't see why they would ask for sounds from it if they weren't planning on working on it. And as has been noted in the past it's a common truck on the road these days.
I'm more interested to work out what comes after it, since there's pretty much no real hints toward the future at this point. I have two hunches for what the next truck could be, the first that perhaps we might see them come back around to the Paccar brands, because it's been so long since those trucks got added. I feel like the W990 would be the most likely pick, new versions or refreshes of the T680 and 579 I could easily see happening, but I don't think they'd get quite the welcome a new truck would, thus I think they'd prioritize it.
The other's that I imagine SCS already had plans in regards to what trucks they were gonna go after for Western Star prior to the 49x. So I wonder if perhaps we'll see the 4900 and/or 5700 come along in the not too distant future. I would love to see the former, and I think it has a very good shot still, but generally they were favoring aero trucks first, so I do half think the 5700 might still have a shot. But they did pick the Lonestar over the LT, so that's not a set rule by any means. I could see them perhaps favoring adding a older truck for variety sake, and I think better represents what the WS brand are. Plus the 4900 has the obvious production advantage at this point, so that helps its chance considerably.
