Re: Next ATS truck speculation
It's all a matter of coding in a few new variables in the game and altering few existing prefabs to add chargers, other than that the game already supports electric trucks.
I honestly wouldn't be surprised if we saw one of those in the game next year, or even this year.

The smallest details always make the biggest difference.
Re: Next ATS truck speculation
Daimler launched the eCascadia this year and will launch eActros in IAA in september.
I wouldn't be surprised if the IAA event on ETS2 would be something that paved the road for electric trucks to come to ETS2 and ATS.
Right now i think all brands on ETS2 and ATS has an electric tractor truck on the market or are working on one for the near future.
And brands could see the game as a great tool to make the first aproach to electric trucks to the future clients.
So electric trucks on game is only a matter of time

I'll literally take anything other than a Tesla. Anything.

Re: Next ATS truck speculation
better to stick to Freightliner (or any other of the big 7) then to get involved with Tesla at all, it already hurts when i see them liking posts of him on twitter

Re: Next ATS truck speculation
I'm honestly not interested in seeing electric trucks in ATS at all... At least definitely not until all the major trucks are in and we get at least a few of the classics... Electrics have become too much of a trend and are way too overrated... In fact I rather see Hydrogen or other more environmental friendly engines instead of a electrics.
Re: Next ATS truck speculation
I don't think any of us actually want electric trucks in ATS, but if SCS wanted to do it for some reason they better do it with one of the trucks from the 7 mayor brands we already have in game and not something dumb like a Tesla, also, Tesla doesn't even does marketing and being in a game counts as marketing for them, ask Forza why they don't have any Tesla in their latest games.
Re: Next ATS truck speculation
Apart of classic trucks in ATS and ETS2, I also personally want electric trucks in the game.
Is another way to play the game, yes instant torque the king of the traffic light racing but you will need to plan your routes better to have chargers.
Maybe due to charging the truck if you accept some long trip you will arrive late, strong re-gen brake(stronger than jakes allow one pedal driving), less maintenance, less brake wear... in summary a different way to play and different things to take into consideration
Electric will bring more diversity to the game and new ways to play it, and have more diversity is good.

Re: Next ATS truck speculation
I would say you're part of a very small minority then.
Re: Next ATS truck speculation
I know that right now people interested in electric trucks are still a minority compared with people interested in combustion engines.
But every day the amount of people interested in electric trucks grows, and are probably more than you expected at first.
I'm convinced that if SCS add electrics to the game the number of people interested on electric trucks in game will grow faster, and probably the instant torque of a electric truck will be a great hit between the TMP racing comunity

I agreed every single word .55sixxx wrote: ↑12 Aug 2022 20:33 Okey, i'm just going to drop the bomb here... I'm really, really not interest in seeing COE's, Tesla's, Re-Badged DAF's or whatever it is in ATS until all the major players of NA roads are in the game, which is the New VNL, Pinnacle, New-Gen 579 and T680, W990, T800, 4900, 5700, 122SD and the Previous gen Cascadia... Perhaps even the old Pinnacle CXU613 and International ProStar. Only then I'll welcome the previously mentioned trucks with open arms otherwise they'll just take the man-power and time that would've been better spent imho, in bringing the latter ones to us.
But how about those guys? People Are forgetting those 2 mostly
