What I am waiting for and what I think can be 2 different things. I think the VNL or a WS is up next. I wouldn't be surprised if both came this year. If the 9900i is coming soon, 2022 can be just like 2020 when we the Anthem, 49x and Cascadia.

To get 3 this year, one has to pretty much be done. The 9900i fits that. The Pinnacle is half done so its a good option time wise. The ground up model can be anything else. But I hope it's a WS. That 4900 55sixxx posted awhile back.....man that truck was sweet. I'd park my W900 for part time duty to roll that 2022 4900.

Otherwise, the 5700ex got me. If we got the 57x instead, I won't bother. It's too much like the 49x and I'm not impressed at all.

Tbh, who really knows if the 9900i is actually the next truck to be released, sure, we know it's coming eventually but as Pavel said, the Vehicle Team is working on several trucks already, the VNL, the 5700XE, the Pinnacle or something totally unexpected could show up out of nowhere before the 9900i, only SCS knows the answer to that. 😅 Whatever it is, i'm excited for it, i just want something new to drive from SCS even if i will be back to my W900 5 minutes later 🤣

Lol. I always go back to my w900 as well. But the right truck will keep me away longer. I'll never ditch my w900, just park it. I want to keep the odometer rolling. But I have noticed, I am a classic driver. I like the modern trucks with aero kits and all, but I can't drive them long term.

Yes, it would be more correct to say that the 9900i is one of the trucks that will be released this year. But not necessarily the next one. Maybe some other truck will show up before.

And there are enough possible candidates: New VNL, T680 NextGen, W990, 5700XE and this is not a complete list.

He also emphasized that the team wanted to keep some cards unrevealed, so there's a fair chance that we may not encounter the 9900i as the first truck (not bad if we do).

That said, what I'm looking forward to the most this year is an OTR truck from Western Star. Wouldn't bother if that's a 5700XE or its successor, though I prefer the latter.

I just found out that daimler NA ceased production of the 5700XE.. :(
The sucessor (57x) looks good too but I hope we still get the 5700XE in the game though.
Best Regards.

You’re quite late on that info my friend. We talked about the 5700 stopping production some time ago. If we SCS got a license for the 5700 back in 2018 or 2019, I can careless about the 57x. The 57x can come to ATS on a real life debut just like the 49x. I won’t be surprise one bit to get the 57x launched in ATS.

I seriously wish that be the case. SCS securing three licenses from International at once makes the most sense. In a similar way, had they secured the license of 5700XE and (possibly) the 4900, and assuming a 49X-like launch for the next model, that would be three trucks already. A similar argument can be made for Freightliner trucks as well.

It's just a matter of time to see how things turn out. I believe 2022 will be just another 2020 for ATS but better. I might sound way too optimistic here but it's okay.

^Nope. I am with you. I think 2022 could be great for both trucks and maps. I mentioned that above a couple post of mine up. So I'm thinking another 3 truck year for ATS. If 2022 can be more vehicle team heavy for ATS, I'm good. It would be cool to see more manufacturers in the industry be onboard for ATS.

Trucks (possibilities) - 9900i, Pinnacle, 5700xe, 4900
Maps - Cali Ph 2, Cali Ph3 (possibly), Texas, Montana, Wyoming additions
Trailers - Lode King

Features - DX12, driving school
in the hunt - truck washes, new WoT, AI overhaul, AA improvements, improved weather, tuning pack, another tire pack

I really hope they don't stay quiet regarding the VNL any longer, but when they do finally decide that they're done and ready to release (the new VNLs), i do hope that its not just the (new) VNL, i.e. they introduce at least the VNX too with them, a VNR could also be a possible bonus but it remains to be seen as to how it's gonna be done (like either the VNX and/or VNR be a separate truck or part of the new VNL).
Two wrongs don't make a right, three lefts...do :D
