No, I'm talking about the 5700.

Re: Next ATS truck speculation
Hmmm. That's an odd truck choice for logging. If people want it, they can spec it as they please.
My post are only thoughts and ideas. Don't assume it makes ATS.

Re: Next ATS truck speculation
The 5700 is a popular line-haul model in Canada, so plenty of logging companies pick them up secondhand, remove the skirts, bolt on a herd bumper, a headache rack, and beefier tires, and put them to work.
Trucking isn't about always getting the best possible truck purpose built for the job at hand, a lot of times you're limited by what dealerships near you have in stock, what build slot you can get (if any), or what other companies in your area have on hand that they're replacing, so all of the highway fleet-spec trucks can be pretty easily modified for vocational applications and are intentionally designed that way to improve their resale value.

Re: Next ATS truck speculation
There's a few Cascadia log haulers around me, so Ellie's experience doesn't surprise me. Day cabs with chrome bumpers.
Also have seen a pete 579 and kw t680 pulling what we called a 'double decker' 4 bolster log trailer. The trucks and trailers were owned by the same company, painted bright yellow and very hard to miss.

Re: Next ATS truck speculation
Thanks for mentioning the Mack Pinnacle. I hadn't thought of this truck.
Re: Next ATS truck speculation
First discovered the Pinnacle myself when I followed IRT years back when Darrel Ward drove one. I had never seen one before, but instantly enjoyed the style of it more than all the others.
Re: Next ATS truck speculation
I would not even start alteration, but to create anew 389, 900, 680, 579 and VNL.

Indeed. But there is a big difference between each other. It seems Daimler cares only advertising while Navistar is caring SCS players as well. I have a feeling about that Daimler gives the priority for Western Star which is lacking of sales while not caring Freightliner as much as Western Star. I have a feeling about that new Cascadia will be our only Freightliner truck for long years. And also I have a feeling about they give us 49X and 57X only as the Western Star models. It looks like they don't care anything about old Cascadia, 5700 4900 and 122SD.dkasper00 wrote: ↑08 May 2022 19:31 If you think about it, if there are a portion that decides to take the next step and start trucking in real life, then that is fresh blood in a line of work that does need drivers. These drivers will need trucks, so brand exposure means alot.
It's clear that Daimler North America and Navistar understand what a virtual presence can mean.
On the other hand Navistar or entire Volkswagen group trucks is caring advertising also caring SCS players. They released 3 models which is out of production. MAN TGX Euro 6 efficient line 3 and 9900I are not effect their sales maybe but it represents perfectly their brands history.

In today blog they talk about the Canadian trip, meetings with brands and sound recording they also have a video.
https://youtu.be/a96bFPT2oxo
In the video you can see that they recorded sounds from trucks that currently aren't in game, one is a peterbilt 367 with a 500hp x15 and a Peterbilt 357 with a C-15.(probably don't mean anything and is just for the sounds of the engines)
