Its better to wait and know something is coming than to sit and wait and wait and never given information that x,y and z are coming. It doesn't suck so bad when you at least understand there is a pipeline. There is always something to wait for though. That's just how it goes. Not everything comes at once. The best part is the way SCS setup their games. They continue to update them and just provided additional content for the same game titles vs making new games like Farming Sim and Flight Sim with a new year in front of the name. You must buy the game over and over to get more updates beyond the few that come during each current title.

In due time, 50% of this list surely comes to the game in the next 2-3 years. When you don't focus on the wait, its easier. Much easier to continue playing as is as if you never heard anything works if you have the patience. Patience is what eats people alive.

freightliner classic xl, freightliner fld 132 classic xl, freightliner 132sd I think two classic vehicles come to ats, the license has been taken from production by scs software
another thing is that I think western star 4900,5700ex was taken from production without being removed from production, the license was taken by scs software, this applies to mack, mack pinancle, mack vision license was taken, I think the license comes to mack classic vehicle
freightliner comes to freightliner, western star 5700ex classic car comes to freightliner.
only these are left for the scs software for the classic vehicle.

for american truck simulator 4 or 5 both classic and new vehicles come in 4 for each brand can be in 4 completes the game I think the vehicle team continues to bring other vehicles as the vehicles come up to the filter

Is any discontinued truck considered a classic?

@Seerman Nope. But it also depends on who you are talking to. In terms of classic I see it like insurance. A vehicle is determined classic for insurance purposes in the US once 25 to 30 years old.

Classic is also a style. These are your boxed type, hard edged ( none aero) and COE's trucks in North America. There are very few continued classic styles still in production. The 4900 just went off the list. The 389 and W900 are really the only 2 classic styles left.

389 will go down in history in six months. We only have the W900 left.

I'm curious when and if we'll get its replacement, the 589. An exclusive release would be a welcome surprise.

The 589 leak looks lame IMO. It looks like they put a 579 driver cab between the usual 389 hood and sleeping cab lol, and that's it. I bet the dashboard will be the actual 579's. Maybe they put some effort on the sleeping space, maybe...

Well, they did the same with the W990 - it's a W900 hood with T880SFA headlights and T680 cab/interior.
Looks like Peterbilt with the 589 at least gives the option to use the "oldschool" sleepers. I think it looks kinda neat. (But then again, I like the 567, which is basically the same truck at this point :P )
The smallest details always make the biggest difference.

Maybe because that's literally what it is? Since the rumors started they said it will be a 579/567 with a 389 hood and that's what it is, it looks better than many expected, also, that's a 579/567 sleeping cab, it just happens to look like the 389 classic sleeping cab.
