The LT and the Anthem was good imo. Both came out of nowhere.

Volvo VNL coming in ATS in 2018, but if I'm not mistaken, then in reality it ceased to be produced in 2017. The 5700XE ceased production in 2021, so the chances of it appearing in the game are still very high.

Yes, I didn't mean the VNL model, but the generation. ;) 2018 VNL it's already a completely updated new generation model outside and inside, just like new generation Cascadia.

I voted for the T680 Next Gen, since I am about to slide into one :) May as well have it in game also :)

There's a mod out there for it, sure, but it is riddled with errors and doesn't work, so I'd be fascinated to see what SCS could do with such a project.

That too, once again might have been that Volvo has approved it but SCS never told us when they acquired the license for it, and don't be so ignorant to the fact that Volvo and Daimler are two different, rivalling companies. I'm really hopeful here that Daimler is kind enough to allow us to have/enjoy the 5700XE, rather than just the 57X, although obviously having both is the best outcome.

And yes I do agree with flight50 too that we are slowly running out of clues as the only other one aside from the 9900i is just the new VNL (as indicated from the sound blog, which once again, don't take it as a solid lead per-se, i'm not gonna mention why, figure it out yourself), the way they've been surprising us has been really fun as it also doesn't complicate things on their end, makes the introduction smoother.

I really really hope that we could go back to getting at least 3 trucks per year for this year, or even increasing the rate, as our truck roster is severely lacking, even if we manage to get 4 International Trucks, with the HX being my very wishful thinking, so don't mind me on that.

If the vehicle could increase staff by double perhaps, that could fill up that new floor SCS dedicated to them and the QA team. ATS already has 2 truck teams.....kinda. One dedicated and one shared.....last we heard. To have a shot at out of production trucks, I'd say ATS needs 2 dedicated teams minimum. 3 is more ideal but I'd be greedy in saying that, lol.

But 3 a year would take 3 dedicated teams plus that shared team. Trucks may not always pop out every 12 months per team. There would be overlap somewhere. That could approval process, reference issues or just difficult modeling. Then there are also ETS2 trucks to build as well.

Eventually the truck roster for ATS will be a lot more appealing. Could take years but it can get there. It needs to at least double its current size.

TheAmir259 wrote: 18 Jan 2022 10:05 It also seems like you're forgetting the real factor of getting one, it's not whether the trucks are no longer produced or not, it's actually the willingness of the manufacturers. I'd consider us lucky enough to get the old VNL as we are uncertain of the status of the old Cascadia, of which some of us even called it truly dead. And what factor decided this, out-of-production trucks? No, its the manufacturers. Getting the licenses are probably harder than it sounds, but given from other examples like Farming Sim and Spintires, we're also not exactly sure why SCS are doing licensing this way, nor do we know why the manufacturers are dealing with SCS this way neither.
We discussed that before if I'm not mistaken. If manufacturers causes problems about old trucks then Snowrunner couldn't get the license of 1967 model Western Star (4964) and 2020 model Western Star (49X).

Licensing is a business and in business everything has a price.

The VNL we have in game was ready for the game's release. But it took lazy knobs at Volvo almost 2 years to finally approve it, so that we could get it. So it really isn't any kind of indicator. SCS and Volvo Trucks NA clearly aren't in good terms.
The WS 5700XE is a rather touchy subject and I still advise anyone to just drop the hope, because right now, the chance we'll ever get one from SCS is close to none. Especially seeing Daimler's approach to their trucks.
The smallest details always make the biggest difference.

@Wolfi i take your point there regarding
Volvo NA and I reckon you could level the same sentiment towards Volvo EU as well. Volvo trucks on both sides of the Atlantic have been very quiet.
