Yeah, I've seen the safety recall report which states that the stainless steel hood vents can fall off the truck.
And my insider confirmed that this indeed is the case.
The parts come loose by themself, most likely from hood vibrations.

Daimler doesn't have this problem with the 4900 or the 5700. Just saying, lol. SCS should have gone after those 2 that have been on the road for years. Of course this is assuming SCS 1) didn't go after them or 2) Daimler said no or hold up, lets get the 57x in first. At the least, the 4900 should be a thing. Still in production, still a beast used in many applications.

Wasn't 4900 meant to be discontinued this year or the next one? I'm honestly not really following it's current situation all that closely.
On the bright side, 57X's issues do slow down Daimler's releases in general, so this makes it more likely for us to see current Generation of 122SD in the game, before it becomes yet another Cascadia clone.

Yeah, Kenworth was having similar issues with the hood scoops on the W990. They shake themselves off when the double-sided tape doesn't do its job.

They don't make 'em like they used to.

I honestly don't know about the fate of the 4900. But as it stands, its a true classic missing. As a model that is older than I am, it can be a classic style to come that is in current truck quality vs 2016 models we have in place. If Swat didn't care about quality, wash out his thought process and put some quality into the only remaining classic that is still in production that isn't in the game yet.

Well, old models do get rain sensors and Peterbilt 389 should get its recently recorded sounds at some point, so yeah, changes do happen.

Also, Daimler used freaking glue to attach the Hood vent cover xD Hope they rectify this soon.
