They are not interested at this moment, but in the future ...

I still think they should make trucks paid DLC in order to have more resources to put into them, and that includes funding for licensing and related negotiations.

Yes, I agree. In this case, would be better to just charge for the trucks. Doing so, you can Increase staff to work on more models and get more diversified licenses.

trucks are a huge task anyway, be it modelling or audio recording. Hard work should be properly rewarded.
Best Regards.

Ditto for me as well on paid trucks. What ships with the game is what you get....base. If you want more, pay for it. If SCS is set on free trucks, that statement should only apply to in production models. The most current trucks yeah I can see as core..up to 2 models per brand.

ATS/ETS2 are beyond off the ground projects. Start charging and put the money into licensing. Wayyyyy to many NA trucks to be passing on. The low price of a truck is nothing. At most $4.99 EU/USD. That can go a lonnnnng ways. But the current method, isn't getting trucks on the roster. More income...more trucks. More trucks, larger team. No reason each game can't get at least one paid truck a year to fund the next. Each released truck should fund the next.

The current truck roster is feasible. Grow it with money. Too much time spent on free trucks as is and its limiting ATS overall. People are expecting 18 WoS roster. Getting ATS there is what will bring mass support. Statements can be retracted. If people complain...SCS lied, they said trucks will always be free. Those are the cheap people and more than likely don't buy all dlc's anyways. A rational person can see why the change. Deal with your free trucks. No one is forced to buy what they don't want.

I agree flight. Back in may 2016, when I started on ATS, the game was smaller-scaled, had only 3 trucks and just two states, even so I can assure you back then that I got a ton of value from that package.

We get older parts of the map improved for free, which is very good.
We pay for map expansion.. why not pay for more trucks?
Best Regards.

I think it's worth making a vote on this topic in a separate thread.

I too agree with trucks being paid DLCs.

I would 1000% support paid truck DLCs, and I have a strong feeling that a great many ATS/ETS2 users would agree. I think it would make good business sense for SCS. I think it would also open the door to things like "classic" truck DLCs that we'd never get otherwise. Along the same lines, "tuning pack" DLCs for trucks in ATS would sell like hotcakes, I'd wager.

well, no matter how much we talk about it, or beg to them to do it they mostly won't do this idea no matter how much support of the idea gets. so pretty much can't do anything about it.
