[REL] Test Track for Physics Evaluations

#1 Post by Kronzky » 09 Jun 2018 02:00

As I'm trying to tweak ETS2's behavior, to make it a bit more realistic, I needed a map with certain features that allowed me to do proper, reproducible tests.

So, I put together this little test track, which has skidpads, steep mountain roads, angled banks, brake areas and a lot more.

This is the layout:

This is what the main test area looks like:

And here's a video that should pretty much cover everything.
(Sorry about the jerky footage, but that's the best I could do with the in-game camera...)
It's available here: http://www.kronzky.info/ets2/testtrack

Wow, that`s really cool map for physics testing. Big thank you, Kronzky! ;) Based on screenshots and description it has to be a much better map for truck testing, than "physics testing ground" map.

Oh I do like this. So it’s a stand-alone map, I assume?

NVM, I see from your link above there is a location in Europe where it appears. Cool stuff! Any chance you might do the same for ATS?
