Have a weirdest issue with this truck (using it in ETS2, but pretty sure it shouldn't matter): it really loads the GPU whenever I use the zoom key. Doesn't always result in a sub-60 fps, but I can hear the videocard trying to take off.
The only error (after dealing with stuff like trailer cables) is

<ERROR> [baked_model] Too many indices in 'cabin' (68887) for material '/automat/0b/0bf0ff79fedccb09.mat'
, which points at colores_1d texture and seems to be used extensively in grille/intakes, under the hood, tank straps, etc. May be related to the issue, since zooming onto the grille from external view, I can force my videocard to imitate a jet engine as well.

Too many indices is not going to be fixed. See: viewtopic.php?p=989143&hilit=indices#p989143

Franck Peru(which this model is from) totally screwed up and butchered the mod to start with.

Oh well, too bad. Although I'm not even sure the material is the root cause. Still trying to isolate it.

Edit: seems that shutting off headlights stops it. Not sure why it matters in the inside cab view, or why it's triggered by zoom. Probably some geometry culling trickery.

well, easiest fix for galimim would be just just cut the cabin in half and make a copy of said material with a slight change to the values (0.001% darker) so conversion tools generates a new automat for it, 65,536 is the maximum, maybe there are some parts that can be deleted without overall quality loose

well, it is not the "cabin" i took a look at the model and the grill, like was pointed out, has over 120k triangles with the colores_1d material, i decimated it to .25 and it didnt loos anything on quality but lost massiv amounts of unnecessary tris, same for the bit that is under the wheel arches (piece_62 for me)

Yeah I just got myself into the 860 in real life so I redownloaded this and was also thinking of ways I can decimate without causing a ruckus in visuals. Sounds like the grill is a good start. I just got done creating custom parts in Blender (antenna, WeBooster, sticker panels, matching mirrors since I have chrome versions of the basic mirrors, etc.) to make actual accessories that match my real world truck. It’s going to be an interesting few weeks on the laptop for sure :)

Could you fix the raindrops on the windows?There are some raindrops outside the windows' edge when the windows are open.Maybe something goes wrong with the template.Thanks!

AS OF 24/05/2023 SCS HAS ANNOUNCED THEY ARE WORKING ON VNL MODEL. THIS MOD WILL BE DISCONTINUED.

It had a very good run. Working on this has thought me a lot about how the game works, how to work with BT and how you can push the game engine with a bit of smart thinking.
