[DISC] Volvo VNL 2018 fix

SCS as a company do not wish to have paid mods on this forum. While we understand that not all paid mods use the Intellectual Property of other companies/people, it is very hard to moderate what is and isn't acceptable when money is involved. There are also concerns that it could look unfavorable to potential work partners going forward if SCS allow mods that may potentially use unlicensed branding.

Where is it installed? I looked at all the front bumpers, there is no badge. Although on the original model it is installed there.

Make sure you have the right engine installed. It works just with the TC engines.

All,

I have issues with the game lagging with this truck whenever the hazards are on. Anyone else have this issue? Any known mod conflicts?

In the interior when hazards are on during the day I go from about 150fps to 120fps. At night however, the change is 1-2fps.

I remember flares being a long lasting issue in quite a few trucks.

So, finally decided to play ATS again for a bit, and checked out this mod again. It's been nine months since I had the game open...

First of all, what's the correct loading order for this mod, the VNR mod, Kriechbaum's engine sounds megapack, and the Volvo Drivetrain Rework?

I put this mod at the bottom (loading first), Kriechbaum's sounds above, and the drivetrain rework on top, and the Cummins X15 Performance engine was soundless. I haven't experimented with other load orders just yet because I ran out of cash trying to figure out what engines were affected on my profile, and I still didn't check out all of them...

Second, very very nice to have a proper "Duty" front bumper and the exposed air tanks/battery box as an option. I wish there was an all-chrome version of the "not-a-sideskirt" option to match the official VNX demo trucks though. And also, a version of the grille that has just the logo in chrome but the rest in black would be really nice to have as well, that would make the "VNX" look for the 740 cab perfect but for the badge on the door. (I can most likely make these myself, so no pressure implied.)

Third, I know why you didn't include the 605 HP Cummins X15 as an option for the VNL (as the real truck doesn't get that one), but it's really the only thing outright missing to make a VNX 740 right now. Oh well, I can dream. :)

So the updated are only the D13 that is marked TC? The D13 500V - 1850 isn't changed?

@Winchester1979 the VNR/VNL order doesn't matter, the sounds from engine pack are already included and Drivetrain mod is not necessary for this and VNR.

It was more "where do I load Kriechbaum's stuff in relation to the VNL so the engine sounds all work", but apparently that's not currently possible without some patching? For me the Cummins engine has no sound currently, hence the question.

I don't currently have the VNR enabled, and the drivetrain mod was mostly for the SCS VNL.
