@Dieling , thank you for this wonderful update for Mack R! But is it possible to make it for ETS 2 as well? By and large, it functions normally, but there is a problem with the cables.

Re: Mack R Series (v1.3)
Here's something for everyone wondering about those boxy filters.
They're called Pharr filters (also spelled as Farr). They appeared in 60s, I think, as an alternative to then-popular oil bath cleaners where the fresh air was essentially blown straight down into an oil reservoir and then sucked up from the oil surface. The air can easily change its flow, the particles in it can't and get trapped in oil. Pharr filters, on the other hand, had a paper filtering element inside which dictated their boxy shape - it allowed to maximize the filtering element's area. Their main advantage back then was an ability to flow more air to the engine and lower maintenance as they didn't need oil changed every two to three thousand miles. Sometime later, dry filters of a more conventional cylindrical shape appeared and pushed Pharr filters away. The parts and elements (called Racor Unipamic) can still be found though.
I had a hard time finding any info about them on the web a while ago when I got personally interested in those.
By the way, Pharr filters weren't exclusive to Mack and Brockway and could be ordered for any truck. For instance, it came standard with Freightliner's Frontal-Aire system on their cabovers and was mounted on top of the engine. Here are some pics of other trucks.

if anyone has more pictures of this exact truck, please send 'em my way, it's the only one I've ever seen lol

I've always seen them on Brockways
Re: Mack R Series (v1.3)
I just put Dieling's addon in my ETS2 mods folder, and tried to drive around really quick, and it works flawlessly for me so far
Sorry for walls of texts, I often can't keep myself short...

Re: Mack R Series (v1.3)
This truck has made me want to try my hand at repainting for the first time since the Flightsim 2004 days. Can't wait to have a go at the Superliner when it comes along!
Re: Mack R Series (v1.3)
@Dieling Amazing work, I have been dreaming about a sleeper for this truck for years.
What you could do is release it as an addon perhaps? And then maybe Harven get back to you when he has the time and will!
Looks beautiful either way! Real talent!
