Re: Mack R Series (v1.3)
Good day all ! hope someone can help me :
When 1.46 beta came, I downloaded it just to check which of my mods who be incompatible (most no surprise there) so I reverted back; when I tried to get back in v1.45, it could not load saved game,
saying a mod was broken...
I erased Steam folder in Program Files(X86) and copied a save Steam folder from 2 weeks ago; all was well game started normally but found out was missing the Mack R truck...
Went back to the workshop , un-subscribed thinking a small update made it incompatible earlier and I did not noticed.
Browsing the net I found out about sleeper mod from Dieling, downloaded and activated along with Harven's Mack but when I try to purchase it, I cannot select any sleeper option ? it works fine on another profile..
Any ideas guys ?

Re: Mack R Series (v1.3)
Maybe try changing the version from 1.45 to 1.46 in the manifest.. May look something like this at the bottom of the file... Just a thought I had...
compatible_versions[]: "1.46.*"
# compatible_versions[]: "1.45.*"
# compatible_versions[]: "1.44.*
compatible_versions[]: "1.46.*"
# compatible_versions[]: "1.45.*"
# compatible_versions[]: "1.44.*
-.- -.-. ..... -- ...- ...-

Thank you Tex, but I reverted back to 1.45 before adding Dieling's mod;
I wonder if the game automatically erased the broken mod ( ie Mack R ) but since it was not sold previously in the profile it is kind blocked ?
Where are owned trucks stored in the profile ?

Does anyone else have the same gap in the interior? Or it's just a problem on my side?

Re: Mack R Series (v1.3)
Hi Harven!
I just revisited your mod for a Video in my channel. I instaled this mod back ago. Not sure if it was with my original game, but for sure, since 2019 it's one of my trucks in my garadge.
I opted for the Detroit Diesel and the Allison HT740D (Auto) transmision. I think that is the best option for me. And... well.. i'm not sure if is avaliable a Gasoline engine.
I matched it up with the Kässbohrer. Maybe it looks a bit odd, but this trucks were typicall in Europe. At least until the UE regulations.
Anyway. Nice truck and thanks for keeping in update it since so long ago.

Re: Mack R Series (v1.3)
Can anyone tell me what governs the fuel tank colour on paint jobs for this truck? It doesn't seem to be the background colour.

Re: Mack R Series
I'm aware I'm a fair bit late to this thread. But having driven a few of my dads 18 wheelers I'm okay-ish at shifting an 18spd. While I don't know if the R Series ever came with the option of an 18spd; but the mod you made is for a game, where you have the power to implement it. I'd rather not hear my engine scream at 2000rpm while cruising at 55. Maybe not the most realistic, but definitely the most comfortable and easy on my ears.Harven wrote: ↑06 Aug 2018 14:58 Thanks guys I think this may work @hammy1124. Seen some complains that there is no 18 speed transmission. Now imagine me adding 18 speed quadruplex TRQ 7220 (which was an option for this truck):
Now people would use eaton fuller 18 speed layout and would complain that the transmission is bugged Any idea how do you shift it in real truck? And I'm not asking about how to change gears with 2 sticks, but how would the gear sequence look like depending on what load you're pulling. Because as you can see it wouldn't make sense to switch from 3rd "low" to any higher "low low" when shifting up, same with 4th "main" or "high" to 5th "low" or "main".
Re: Mack R Series (v1.3)
@iskimii, you do not actually need a 18-speeder if you want low RPM on high speeds. What is enough is an overdrive transmission (Mack had some of them, the 10-speeder for example) coupled with a low differential ratio. The lowest available for old Mack is 3.87, but no one can stop you from implementing a 3.7, 3.55 or even 2.47 ratio. Talking about the last number, it can be easily paired with a direct drive transmission (1.0 last gear) and the result will give you what you need.
