One thing we can't simulate, the B+ position is momentary, the stack get back to high.

There are also concerns that it could look unfavorable to potential work partners going forward if SCS allow mods that may potentially use unlicensed branding.

Yep, also, they switched the 4th position for a button on the end of the stick so you can activate the braking program on all positions on newer trucks(on volvo side, mack still use the 4th position), but that is not possible to replicate in-game right now, so the 4th position could be seen as a compromise.

Is there a way I can make this mod compatible with Kreichbaum's Mack Anthem engine sounds?

Re: [1.4]MACK Drivetrain revision
We do need to have a chat. I have always used retarded as a way to control the engine brake as a way to show the animation and the auxiliary brake lines gave me the control over how the engine brake behaved. With the 1.39 the LoneStar, 49x and MACK switched the animation to engine brake. Should I switch it as well? I currently like the fact that I can use just one set of keybindings to control engine brakes in ATS and retarder in ETS2

You can use the same keys as in ets2.
Deassign all buttons binded with engine or retarder function (primary and secondary), and assign only engine brake increase and decrease like the retarder in ets2.
The only thing is that engine brake doesn't react exactly like the retarder with the cruise control. The engine brake dosn't stop the CC, it's work simultianously.

Hey @galimim, I've noticed there's no 505 HP Econodyne MP8? Am I missing something, or is that the default one from SCS?
