Re: xXCARL1992Xx Screens & Blender work
well, if you get this one done you at least have something to work with instead of nothing
starting to build my own library of textures, was looking for a good aluminium texture, the one from SCS is meh, the brushed one for a tank isnt really logical, so this it is

Not completely done yet with everything, but the mesh should be close to the normal bumper. At least cover the same area

Damn! That is looking very, very good @abasstreppas!
BTW I used simillar technique for UV checking texture (a bunch of horizontal and vertical lines), but yours is better!

Re: xXCARL1992Xx Screens & Blender work
@Eugene Thanks. That was the easy part About the bottom (that's not included in the gif), it will be stretched if the uv-mesh is kept inside boundaries of the standard bumper. I'll try my best to keep the "visible" part of the bottom non stretched. Worst case scenario, I'll have to redo the bottom with a different mesh-layout.
It's very confusing at the beginning to do an almost face-by-face UV-mapping, but I feel I starting get a good grip of it now. I definitely know how to stitch seams together now. It's very good practice this, it really test your nerves

I would suggest editing UV by verticies, does blender allow that?abasstreppas wrote: ↑28 Apr 2022 16:42 @Eugene Thanks. @xXCARL1992Xx i don't think you have to worry about DLC too much, it's just tuning parts
