Re: Hi-End Configuration Optimization
I have a lot of issues when playing ETS2 and ATS with bad LOD on buildings. Is there a console command for LOD on buildings? I will see like 10 meters from the truck that a house changes from bad LOD to better LOD. Its really jarring. Like the detail of the house only loads once I am pretty much right next to it. I feel like it has gotten worse also on the latest updates.
Is this normal or is there a console commands for poor LOD on buildings? I know there are the g_traffic LOD and g_parked LOD but thats only for vehicles.

Re: Hi-End Configuration Optimization
Report it as a bug
The model needs to be rebuild
LOD = Low Object Detail
It is a less detailed 3D model
Yes, sorry, we have a lot of these cases in game

Re: Hi-End Configuration Optimization
If the LOD change is done on a wrong distance due wrong configuration on the 3D world, then it's a bug (it has to be something happening always the same for the same asset in the same place)
If the LOD change is done on a wrong distance just because the computer can't keep the pace (and that seems implicit in the sentence "I feel like it has gotten worse also on the latest updates" as the evolution of the game quality puts a higher toll on computers); then there's not so much SCS could do (unless its a zone of the map that for some reason has a big problem of overall optimization of the 3D world).
Regards

Re: Hi-End Configuration Optimization
Nahh I've some odd examples in game as well as missing LOD models
The typical configuration is simplified 3D models
Eg

So there is no LOD setting in the console then for buildings?

Re: Hi-End Configuration Optimization
My computer is equipped with graphics card: AMD 6900xt Aurora CPU: amd5800x memory: 32g game is installed on solid-state hard disk. In recent updates, I found that the game is stuck seriously. My display screen is 2k144hz, and the zoom is set to 200 in the game. The others are high. The FPS beats very much during transportation. The FPS of the second camera will reach about 60. If it is only about 30 in the cab, The game experience is very poor. What I don't understand is that the game consultant of AMD software shows an average frame rate of 260fps. I loaded nearly 300 MODS in the archive, including big map, various transformation mods, JBX, PNG, weather graphics mod, reshade,.... Are these the reasons for Delayed Caton? My startup parameters : -mm_max_resource_size 90 -mm_max_tmp_buffers_size 1000 -mm_pool_size 24576 ,Is it set correctly?THANK !

Check your game log for errors or warnings
Excessive writing to the log cause poor performsnce

Re: Hi-End Configuration Optimization
@viclou Your mm_pool_size is set incorrectly.
Copy and paste the following to replace yours: -nointro -unlimitedlog -mm_pool_size 16384 -mm_max_resource_size 32 -mm_max_tmp_buffers_size 1000
I won't be able to tell what mm_max_resource_size you need, that's down to you and the mods you use. If a mod requires more memory allocation it will crash upon attempt to load and display the size in MB. Reflect that size in mm_max_resource.

Re: Hi-End Configuration Optimization
In JBX configuration settings, it is recommended to set the size to 90. Is that right?Digital X wrote: ↑08 Mar 2022 19:59 @viclou Your mm_pool_size is set incorrectly.
