What some of you are describing sounds more like rubber banding, a simple improvement is to change this line in config.cfg uset t_averaging_window_length "300".

The default is 20, set it to 5x what your FPS is set to, I cap at 60 so I use 300. It is a time buffer for pre-rendering and the new lighting brought in with 1.44 introduced the issue...not sure why SCS left the default at 20 from the initial release of the game....

Setting it a 2x my fps is capped at (75fps) improved gameplay outside of cities and towns. Anything higher and the shadows and rendering trip all over the place. Inside super small towns i still lag a hell of a lot unfortunately. How do all these streamers get such high quality performance when they play on similar high end rigs like me?

Using Sharpen with the nVidia overlay will help with that as well...

Yeah i've been using that for a long time now. At what should i set it? Got it at what's recommend by Roex right now.

Gameplay is not laggy anymore. But the flickering and reflection/rendering on buildings is just terrible and killing the immersion. Ways to fix this? It's like lines and then when i'm standing still it's all good. Once i start driving the aa is all over the place.

I found the best results just using the default Overlay values after the 1.44 lighting changes but I was using the Roex values before that...I am doing some experimenting with Sharpen+ as well but it is a tough one, just when you think you found a sweet spot something in the background like a building or a stationary vehicle looks awful...

I'll try the default sharpen values. Looking forward.

Okey i really am giving up.

I have red almost this whole thread (and other optimisation threads) tried a lot but still no good FPS for my high end PC.

I have an rtx 3080 TI ryzen 7 3700 x and 32gb ram 32mhz.

So it is definitly not the system. I have low fps and fps drops when i am near city's and buisy places. Almost an unplayable fps cound of 19. When i am on the highway i get around 40 to 50 FPS (which is still low for my setup).
I am tired of trying everything. I hope one of you guys have any suggestions left. For now i have no steam start commands except -nointro.
I have tried it even with and without mods. But still same performance issues!

If anyone have any suggestions i really would like to hear it from you.
