I'd like to think that once one thing goes thru release, the team or people that did such in such, they moved on to the next inline task. I'm sure they are knee deep in task which is why most fixes aren't asap. So instead of fixing certain things asap, they could wait when time permits to go back and fix things. Sure this is not the way to please most fans but that just shows how undermanned they are in the vehicle department. The vehicle team is responsible for quite a bit. The ones on trucks suck up bandwidth for sure. It takes one truck team (3) people. One of those is the graphics person though but I don't think they are putting in a year's worth of work on one truck like the interior and exterior truck modelers. But if there are 3-4 of those teams, that leaves everyone else to make tire packs, tuning packs, AI vehicles, cargo, licensed trailer dlc's, reworked trailers for ownership and accessories packs.

So several fixes to make yes. But we are still lacking several types not in the game yet, ones that need remakes to make ownable and then there are those that need fixes. I bet the way SCS sees it.....is it functional, is it drivable. We will always be waiting for fixes across the board. But I do have to give them credit for rolling this out when no one expected it. Its nearly impossible to release a perfect truck or trailer without some type of flaw.

If we're mentioning things that need fixed with trailers, another one that comes to mind is the missing kingpin to the house trailer in the Special Transport DLC. That trailer has been levitating above the fifth wheels for the past three years since that DLC came out because the kingpin on the trailer was never modeled. I believe it was mentioned shortly after the DLC released, but it's still not fixed.

That whole house setup to me is such a missed opportunity.

Imagine instead of it we got a proper toter addon for the existing trucks (W9L, 389, maybe 579) and one of these.

@seriousmods Agreed. But I'm still a step ahead of ya, lol. I got proper mobile homes covered too here. Just scroll down to the mobile homes. viewtopic.php?p=1256873#p1256873. SCS will have to get creative with a tow accessory though. The turn key load we have is wayyyy to short for an awesome challenge. We need a much longer setup. It would be great to get diversity here too. Single and double wide. Simple rectangular home and one with nice roof pitches and even front porch. This also brings one new cool accessory.....super wide mirrors with of without beacons. Such a load is another reason for ATS to get a light tuning kit. The US uses strobes and LEDs here for HH. Yet, ATS is kept ancient and all we get are beacon lights. Where are the light bars? Where are the strobes that can be inserted in the grille? Where are the strobes for the rear of the heavy haul trailers. They should be implemented into the trailer right next to the tail lights. The way SCS has it now on the rear of trailers, I've never seen it like that. Its not the common way trailers are setup here. Mods are making good with this light kits though. This can be equipped from service stations just like flags. These are special transport loads so we'd get controlled routes with an escort. We'd get the AI to halt for the most part to have space to move around in the game. But I see at least 4-5 mobile home models giving us a nice challenge. There are lots of mobile home parks and retail depots for manufactured homes.

In the link I'm speaking on the behalf of...make it a dlc. I don't mind funding this extra content. For those that don't want it, don't buy it. But I'd rather support the devs to get more extra content like this. Keep them coming. Blow the doors off ATS with cargo. Like I mentioned before, in links in my signature, I can easily keep a dedicated cargo team busy for years. There's a solid 2-3 dozen categories worth of cargo that can be paid to help fund SCS operations. ATS can be soo much deeper economy wise that its not even funny. There is space in the game for new depot types. Every pic of cargo I ever post about can be dlc's. Its these kinds of sales that I think SCS is leaving money on the table. More than 70% of cargo I post don't present licensing issues. The only license issue is machinery and even then, we can get fictional models or SCS can collaborate with manufacturers just like they have recently done with Volvo.

Haha, you covered it all!

And yeah, I would totally pay for a toter dlc and series of mobile home loads. Heck, I would pay for a driveable pilot car dlc.

There is so much more that can be done and just isn't being done.

Yep I tried to touch every open deck cargo that I see as valid cargoes based on industries I think could be in ATS. There is still lots more cargo out there but I'm not sure if such industries will come. One in particular is waste management and recycling. Now I posted some pics of cardboard box bales before as flatbed cargo. We have paper, we have glass coming with Texas and we have scrap metal. Add plastic depots and we have a legit waste industry that can come.

I pretty much stopped posting cargo pics though because we aren't getting much of it. But I post enough that SCS wouldn't run out of ideas no time soon. My mind is always turning for ATS implements. Even when working at my desk during work hrs, I get random thoughts/ideas thru the day. So that I don't loose thought, I jump on when I should be working. Don't let there be a ATS blog. I don't really work the rest of the day unless I have a project due.

@arthurcfbr I don't think anyone has any new trailer types to add so we can remove dumpers/tippers now. Also remove double step deck and just let it say step deck/drop deck. When lowboys came, we got the double step deck already.

Thanks @flight50. I will make the changes to the poll. I think we can also post suggestions for the existing owned trailers that we current have. For example: "I would like that the dumpers trailers have an spread axle configuration, like this":[ external image ]

NP.

Not a bad idea for spreads but do we have that long of a trailer in the game? Or are you just speaking in general? I don't own a dumper yet so I honestly have not looked at what exactly we have. I only remember seeing the blog pics.

My new votes go to car transport and step deck/drop deck. I am confident that Texas or 2022 brings tankers. Not to mention, I am sure SCS knows that a lot of people want it. I love open deck trailers. I want to see my cargo. The step deck is much more versatile than the standard flatbed. We do need a lot more cargo for flatbed though. But the cool part is that flatbed, step deck/drop deck, curtain sider and sliding tarp can pretty much get the same cargoes. Step decks can have a tad taller cargoes so that would make some cargo exclusive to step decks.

As far a car transport....well what we have is just sad. If SCS is going to be working AI, hopefully that also mean new models. Also car transport plays into Texas as well as tankers. If we are lucky, maybe we get a car plant out of Texas. I'd like to see a lot more variety on the trailers and a more common transport trailer at that. What we have is too short and desperately needs a make over.

It was more an example of feature, but on ATS we only have the dumpers in tandem short trailer, tandem long trailer and the tridem long trailer. It would be nice to also have spread axles too since they exist IRL and other types of trailers have them. Just to add more variety
