Is there a legit reason why most people love Scania ?

i don't know why, but here on my country scania it's not that famous, you only see some Scania 124L or some P, also iveco has more floats on the roads. but here almost truck companies preffer the Brazilian Volkswagen Constellation or some chinesse truck i think it's because they cost less.

I'd argue that Scania is also a product of German engineering.

Yes, Scania is a Part of Volkswagen AG. Now the Group of MAN,Scania,Volkswagen Caminhões e Ônibus and RIO is called "TRATON AG".

Yeah, here in the US, VNL's are the rigs I see most frequently. There's a company here in Eureka that has a bunch of them. But for the game, I tried all the trucks and before SCS got their Mercedes license I first used an Iveco Hi-Way, then switched to a converted "Majestic" (to make it look like it should if it was a Mercedes Actros MP3) and after they got the Mercedes license and the 2014 Actros MP4 was added to the game, I switched to that.

I guess over here in Brazil is loyalty. When Scania came to Brazil there where no truck in Mercedes or Volvo to match their semi trucks ( Mercedes had better straight trucks by that time). Their had more trust able engines, more powerful and the most important thing: the better ventilation of the cab ( We have to remember that air con units are very rare back in the day in Brazil).
But they only get they throne over here when they launch the series 3. I also have to remember that their trucks where the best in off road and this still important if you transport grains. or goes up to North of the country.

I mean, the in-game model has way more detail and better textures, since it's more recent, I guess? You can easily tell that a Volvo does not have the same texture and model quality.

But Volvo is a Swedish company, not German.
