[REWORK] Utah rework tips (originally pre-research)

The Salt Flat is looong, lol. I am sure SCS will only account for half of that at 1:20 scale. I really look forward into Utah to box up the map though. The poll in my signature has always had Utah as a want 2 years in a row. Yes Utah is an extension to more desert but it is necessary to get to Colorado and Southern Idaho and Wyoming. Plus, there is no reason to leave it out. US geography is what it is. I think SCS has enough experience with desert that Utah shouldn't give them too many issues. The unique thing that Utah brings over the current desert states are the beautiful rock formations. I think SCS will try to capture this a much as they can. The next challenge SCS should find in ATS are the Rocky Mountains though. This whole area should be some of the best road driving in the game.

Something that is very common within Utah is the placement of letters on Hills and Mountains denoting a College, University, High School, and in some cases a town. I believe in many cases it's either concrete poured onto the ground. They aren't like the Hollywood sign in California. Here's an example of the "Y" in Provo, UT. [ external image ]

Common to have LDS churchs in town in Utah and Idaho as well Ladder Day Saints is predominant religion there. In Utah, Wastch Front is endless surburban sprawl similar to Eugene in ATS Oregon, but far larger of it 120 miles North to South. In Utah- Nephi northward to Brigham City its surburban areas and spawl alots of suburban housing and office buildings, strips malls. Ogden-Salt Lake-Provo all suburbs connected not much open rural space. The mountains hugs close along I-15 with mostly 8-10 lanes with single point interchanges seen in Medford in Oregon DLC in that 120 miles of suburban corridor. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wasatch_Front

That restricted use is a little misleading, mostly it means you need special permits to drive there, or in the case of legacy parkway, semi trucks are only allowed at night hours. Still interestimg though. Also the weigh station info is very nice, and accurate.
