Area 51 is in game (sort of, those two yellow dancing UFOs are coming from there). It's South-West of Rachel, Nevada on SR-375. You can't get any closer with a civilian truck unless you want to feel the warmth of 5.56mm warning shots because that's Nellis Air Force Base restricted area.

Besides these, the USA is full of military bases (navy, army and force air) and none were added in the game until today, could be included for delivery and capture of loads

Well, tbh, I think someone thought about them because we can see jet fighters around US-395 in California (Edwards AFB is nearby), around US-93 in Nevada (Nellis AFB is nearby) and around Elko (don't know the origin, afaik there are no F-22 operators nearby).

But yeah, it would be nice to have more, like San Diego naval base.

As a "tanker trailer" enthusiast, I expect Texas to be a tanker hauling paradise. I expect lots of oil storage and refinieries... When it comes to tanker jobs in the freight market, NM and OR are pretty underwhelming.

I agree that SCS should have taken advantage of the oil fields in Southwest New Mexico by making them industries that supply the in-game fright market. However, for Oregon, the primary industries of the state are not industries that typically produce products that need to be transported in a tanker truck.

Or Vandenburg near Santa Maria. Hopefully, come Washington, Naval Station Everett will also be included.

We also have Yuma Proving Ground, which doesn't look like it would need too much work to become a job site.

If we're ever getting a military job site in the future, Red River Army Depot in northeast Texas would be nice. Take a look at it on Google Maps, and you'll find hundreds of ammo bunkers and a massive complex crammed with all kinds of military vehicles. It would make sense as a destination for auto or machine parts and an origin for new military vehicle cargo that would be shipped to Yuma Proving Ground or a seaport.

I think it would be neat if there were restricted areas and secure military cargo in the game, but in order to access them you'd need a perfect rating and x amount of experience. There would also be military escorts into restricted areas and when moving certain cargo (warheads? Experimental aircraft parts?), with rules and penalties being more strict.

I think precious little oil moves by truck, but Texas does have some significant centers of the chemical industry. I would expect to use those Hazardous skills a lot more once Texas is available...

Agreed. Although most oil is piped, there are still some instances in which tankers are needed. Oil and Gas is big in Texas but it is not the only state that extracts it out of the ground. I agree with supersobes that NM can have this industry as well. Texas can't be the only state with this industry. I am not a mapper or dev member but I do wonder how hard is it to add prefabs of a new industry to existing content. The more industry options SCS can incorporate, the better. I like to compare the industries to ETS2 to ATS and the difference is night and day. The road network has a lot to do with it, but Texas has a chance to blow industries out the water. There is a ton of distribution that Texas can kick out all over the US. I look forward into seeing how SCS spreads around industry love once the road network gets more complex.
