Thank you for that! I hope that the developers will take a look at it, even though this issue doesn't seem to affect a lot of people ...

Re: Stuttering with 1.33 [67967]
It affects me as well. Since 1.33 there is a stuttering issue.
And also changing Vsync options messes up textures unless you restart the game.
1.34 still has that stutter and Vsync issue.

Re: Stuttering with 1.33 [67967]
@Leopard- Linux "Good" to hear that there's another one running Linux and experiencing similar stuttering. Are low framerates also the cause of your stuttering?
Maybe you could also try running 1.32 with the minicon (for reading the FPS) enabled and afterwards try running 1.33/1.34 with exactly the same settings. -> Do you also experience much lower FPS with 1.33/1.34?
I guess uploading the game.log.txt from both test runs afterwards, could also be helpful for the developers.
Which operating system and which desktop environment do you use btw.?
I am currently running Ubuntu 19.04 + KDE Plasma.

No , fps is literally the same. But there is a stutter that never stops.
Devs doesn't care , i made an issue about Vsync issue and there was zero replies.
Linux Mint 19.1 - Nvidia GTX 1050 - 415.27 driver

That was the issue i posted.
I guess there is nothing they will do other than ignoring.

Re: Stuttering with 1.33 [67967]
no need to bump anything, we are aware.
in 1.33 there was big improvement of buffer handling and some other things. it helped a lot to newer computers. to older comps not so, apparently.
in 1.34 there was almost no change on code-side, it was mainly content update.
do not expect any other rendering-based change until major rendering rewrite (DX11 support) will come.
then we will see, if api change could help us solve such issues.

Nobody can tell you anything about it. Those who know about it aren't allowed to talk. And those who talk know nothing.

@Max Thanks for your reply!
So if I read this correctly, SCS won't fix this issue (if not by accident) and I'll either have to stick with 1.32 (which runs perfectly, but I will miss out on new features) or buy a new computer (which is difficult, since there isn't anything as tough as my X201 Tablet on the market) ... Will have to think about it ... :/

Well , my system is not old yet game stuters. And also changing Vsync settings causes rendering issues.
I have an i7 7700HQ and GTX 1050 4 GB.
I guess average userbase of ETS2 uses GTX 1080's.

Re: Stuttering with 1.33 [67967]
If you are having issues with a 1070 then it's about the game parameters. I used to have stuttering with a 1080 until i changed a number of parameters. There's a thread or two on these boards dedicated to performance tuning for higher end computers.
But yes it would be nice if the game ran smoothly on a high end box without needing to be reconfigured.

Re: Stuttering with 1.33 [67967]
i did not wrote that we won't fix it.
i wrote that the (probably related) change is part of bigger rewrite and as such it can't be simply reverted. furthermore when we tested 1.33 on various configuration, only noticeable issues happened on old computers (especially the ones with little gfx memory) due to dx9 driver inability to work properly. unfortunate, but inevitable if we have to follow demands of players for better graphics (yet, i'm still convinced the game works miraculously on potatoes
).
when we have complete swap to DX11, lot of old api-bound bottlenecks might simply disappear. and then will be proper time to analyze the rest.

I appericiate the answer. Though i think you misunderstood me.
Problems that i told are on OGL renderer , not DX9. Since i'm on Linux , i'm on OGL.
Changing to d3d11 - again - doesn't answer my question also. If you will also bump up OGL renderer to 4.5 , i can wait for that.
Or Vulkan , in that sense since these api's are available on Linux.
By stutter, game really feels sluggish despite it runs above 60 fps, or 60 fps locked with vsync on.
I have to mention , i can play many OGL and Vulkan titles without that stuttery feeling on my very system. So this is not a setup issue either.
Both native ones and SteamPlay/Proton ones ( Doom, Witcher 3 etc )
