Re: Washington discussion
Same scale vs IRL.
Golden Gate is longer, as it should be.
I did only check the size over water. In the map editor.
They were about 50% of IRL. So, not bad actually.

I’d give it more length just to get the proper warning signs and lights in.Shiva wrote: 28 May 2026 18:09 Same scale vs IRL.

Re: Washington discussion
I think that Washington has, for the most part, aged pretty well in terms of scenery and city layout/detail; one big exception is I-90's crossing of the Columbia, but other than that, I don't think a refresh is too necessary.
The one thing that could use another go, however, is agriculture. Washington (mainly between the Cascades and the Palouse) is a major producer of apples, as well as cherries and pears to a less famous, but still notable extent; there should be a new company dedicated to growing and packing tree fruit specifically, and it should have a strong presence in Wenatchee and Yakima (this wouldn't have to be a one-off; it could also serve apple orchards in Minnesota, Wisconsin, Michigan, New York, and other big tree fruit states; one company managing such an apple empire isn't realistic, but it should streamline things for development, and it wouldn't be the only business empire in the game). That, and the rest of WA 155, would bring Washington from great to perfect.

Re: Washington discussion
I tried doing that once to a drawbridge in ATS, the adding of warning signs and lights. They work fine if you are facing the drawbridge and the prefab that contains it. Once the drawbridge is far enough behind you, the warning lights I added disappeared presumably because the LOD version of the prefab (if it exists) doesn't contain the semaphore locators like the detailed, up close version does.TruckingWolfUSA wrote: 28 May 2026 18:13 I’d give it more length just to get the proper warning signs and lights in.

Re: Washington discussion
I always felt like the US-12 between Kennewick and Lewiston felt a bit like an afterthought (I guess it belongs more to the Idaho DLC than the Washington DLC).
I would love for there to be some deliverable company or a viewpoint or something along that road.

That seems like a relatively easy fix tbhKrysEmlyn wrote: 28 May 2026 21:02I tried doing that once to a drawbridge in ATS, the adding of warning signs and lights. Re: Washington discussion
I think if Washington came out today, Walla Walla or Pullman might have been marked. They've been better about not leaving large spaces in states to be filled out in future DLCs. So it might have been less of an afterthought in that world.Tristman wrote: 28 May 2026 21:13 I always felt like the US-12 between Kennewick and Lewiston felt a bit like an afterthought (I guess it belongs more to the Idaho DLC than the Washington DLC).

Or why not Colfax? https://www.google.com/maps/dir/127/Col ... 007,8.98z/
Pullman would be bigger tho.
I did wish for Clarkston to be more than scenic.

Yeah I think the same. And with US 195.oldmanclippy wrote: 28 May 2026 22:28I think if Washington came out today, Walla Walla or Pullman might have been marked. Re: Washington discussion
Looking at some of the newer map DLCs, especially South Dakota, I think Washington would probably be designed somewhat differently if it were made today.
One example for me is Grand Coulee. I really like having it in the game, but because WA-155 ends there, I rarely have a reason to return after exploring it. I think continuing WA-155 north toward Omak would make a big difference.
It would turn Grand Coulee from what is essentially an out-and-back destination into part of a useful north-south scenic corridor. The road would not necessarily need additional depots to justify it either — the network connection itself would give it a purpose and provide another alternative route through this part of Washington.
This is something I particularly like about some of the newer DLCs: scenic roads are increasingly part of a wider network rather than simply leading to a destination and ending there.
If Washington ever receives a larger touch-up in the future, WA-155 between Grand Coulee and Omak would be one of the connections I would most like to see added.
