It would be good if the scs paid off the old debt of the players and filled the hole in Utah in update 1.44 I believe that the Wyoming hole with US-14 and Cody will also be filled in this update

That was for ETS2. Old debt for ATS is the 9900i. Pavel mention old debt as in for both games.

In response to Ceco, a time warp to 2030 would probably reduce the wait. it is most likely not even on the to do list with SCS, due to the fact that 98% of the players don't like desert. So a bare bones map suffices for the majority of players.

It would be a great to see Hanksville included, with most if not all sealed roads in the region accounted for. But it's only a fantasy at the moment. Maybe in 2034, after New York's completed.

98% is pretty high. Where are you getting these numbers from? I'm sure that number is much lower than that. Because people complained about desert and SCS went Oregon/Washington doesn't equal 98% not liking desert.

I think the problem before Oregon and Washington was that there was pretty much only desert and nothing else, hence people started complaining. I wouldn't say everyone just outright hates deserts.
I personally enjoy deserts and dry areas the most and thick forests the least, but still hate neither and like the variaty

^I can agree with that. People just wanted different biomes. The Great Plains will be doing just that. The next several years will be Great Plains. Louisiana/Arkansas/Missouri will be in that mix as well. East Texas starts the heavily wood regions of the US as Louisiana/Arkansas will exploit it even more. There is so much more to come with terrains in ATS that people will love to appreciate the deserts the further we get East. It will be an awesome journey East to West as environments change up. Not to mention the base map rebuilds that is going to bring the quality up greatly and on par with paid dlc's.

@MT269 As far as me mentioning the gap and now to fix it:

Exactly with deserts. I played with ATS Demo before buying.

I saw southern California desert (like the song, it never rains in southern California ... :D).

Then ... All of Nevada is desert, ...

And then ... All of Arizona with desert ...

Then, the first paid DLC is ... exactly, desert too in New Mexico ...

Finally, with Oregon and Washington I joined ATS ... :D ;)

Southern Utah forms one of the biggest gaps in the ATS map, although it's true that the roads in the area are state roads and are maybe not as important as other missing roads in other states. Still, I'd like it a lot if Utah got some additions in the future. Looking at Google Maps I was at first surprised that there is are roads between Page and UT-276, but activating the relief and satellite modes you can see why - it looks like there are canyons and ridges everywhere! The Colorado River runs through such remote areas...

Yeah, the route through Hanksville would be nice.
