Looks like an early concept of a hidden road honestly, with two scenic towns along it. Or maybe it was a "we'll see whether we do it or not" kinda road.

Interesting that this map is missing the road between Heber City and Provo, even though that has been in since the initial Utah release. The road between Cedar City and Nevada and the road from Logan west to the interstates must have been planned later than this map was made. Another thing that catches my attention is that the road between Kanab and Hurricane is gray, yet unlike all the other gray roads not headed to future DLC, we got that one.

I have to agree with Sora, when looking at this map, that I would most like to see the US-89 between Salina and Provo. Love alternatives to the interstate like that, and the I-15 through Utah is already a lot of corridor driving.

True. Same here. The mountains are too close to SLC to where you can see a wall technically.
Yup. It's so close, not that high and it has zero details. On Austria rework they nailed Innsbruck. The mountains should be like that. Not that tall, but taller than current form. Also it should be detailed. Currently it looks like a hill. Especially since you can count the bushes on top of it, it looks ridiculous.

This is the first time I've heard request of such distance. Your going to continue being upset at this one. Stuff like that will only come with ProMods or Reforma.
Why should Promods and Reforma consistently excel SCS in quality, realism, and map diversity? All three are using the same tools: why can't SCS make the most of them?

Its always about performance and having to look after paying customers. Mods don't have to deal with either. But its opinion in thinking that both Reforma and ProMods excel in quality. Doing things that SCS doesn't do doesn't equal preference to me. Detail, fps hit, performance, bugs and reliability is what I look at. I can't say both mods groups have all those consistently over SCS. My opinion though just like you'll have yours.

There are things that both mods do pretty good though and it helps push SCS. I'm not discrediting them but if I had to take either of those mods or SCS, I'm taking SCS.

raskol, you mean this route https://www.google.com/maps/dir/37.7493 ... m2!4m1!3e0 ?
Both endpoints are ingame.
What is missing, is the areas between.
And Yes, this route I do wish. For a long time.

This has been discussed countless times, not just here, but in the public research section. I'm sure SCS knows this network is in high demand, and the fact that it used to be on usa.dds shows that they were considering it when working on Utah. I don't think the devs are just ignoring us, I just think their hands are full with Montana, Texas, and the base map rework, and they'll get around to Utah when they can.

Furthermore, I consider that I-80 across Nevada must be redone next.
