@philbean Thank you ;)

About ext_driving_hours_per_week. It's from here:
knox_xss wrote: 24 Jan 2019 16:07 ...
* Every hour over the limit of daily driving is marked with an asterisk (*) next to the Full day drive time.
...
Regarding the asterisks (*) displayed next to Full day drive time. If we have exceeded the daily driving time, then each subsequent hour of excess is marked with an asterisk. For example, we have 9 hours of daily driving, and we drove more - that's it, it was counted for the 10th hour (one asterisk appeared). We drove another extra hour, on the same day or another within a week - again an asterisk. This is purely for information for the driver, there are no warnings or checks. The number of these asterisks is saved in the config exactly in the ext_driving_hours_per_week parameter. ;)

@knox_xss I was wondering if it is possible to implement 8/2 split sleeper berth in future for the USA settings. Does it make sense in the game's scale unlike 30-minute brake?

My tacho seems to be rather confused about time zones or daylight saving/summer time. Say, for instance, it is 10:15 Sunday and I wish to stop for a 45min break. I apply g_set_time 11 to push the time forward to 11:00 Sunday ... but instead it jumps forward to 10:00 Monday - my daily drive time is reset to zero and (inevitably) I'll be delivering late!

Am I misunderstanding something? Or doing something wrong?

PS: This was in Finland and my home base is in UK - could this time difference be part of the cause?

To begin with, this is a simple tachograph, i.e. excluding the 45-minute break. This was originally planned due to the scale of the game. If you need full compliance with real life, including 45-minute pauses and other little things, you should use a tachograph from Supric.

This is not about the tachograph, but about the game... but most likely - to your inattention (this happens when you enter the time incorrectly and/or forget about the 24-hour time format in the game). Remember: everything related to the game console, everything that is entered into it, concerns only the game, and has nothing to do with the tachograph!

It is also possible that this is due to time zones and their incorrect understanding by the g_set_time command itself, but again, this has absolutely nothing to do with the tachograph.

Considering how much time you've rewound on the console, this is only natural.

Knox, many thanks for your reply and please accept my apologies if my choice of opening words made it sound as if I thought the problem was with your tachograph. I think it is a superb addition to the realism and immersion of the game! I only used the example of the 45min break as an example of what I know is a game issue - 10:15 plus 45mins should be 11:00 but ends up being 10:00 tomorrow. The next time I'm back in my home time zone I'll try the test again and see if it works correctly.

The biggest issue that the tacho has is TOTALLY the fault of the game and that's the scarcity of parking places on highways which can mean travelling for an hour or more before one finds a layby or somewhere to pull off the road for a break. I've more or less given up on the 4 1/2 hour driving limit in favour of keeping going for a full day's driving hours. I've noticed this issue before even when using the game's default fatigue simulation, especially in Germany, although I think the recent refresh has improved the rest areas slightly.

But hey ho, its still a great game and I love your tacho for the added 'thinking' required about length of job when 1 and 2 week driving times are getting near their limits.

Hello, is it possible for you to make a French version, or if not how can we do it?

PS: On the other hand in the sound called "sound_tacho_-30" I think there is an error because it says the same thing as the sound called "sound_tacho_0"

Hello. The program interface is too simple, so it was not intended to be multilingual.

It's not a mistake. This was intended as a reminder that driving time has expired. In this case, there is only one reminder - 30 minutes after the end of the driving time (sound_tacho_-30).

If someone needs more reminders, for example 10 and 20 minutes after the end of driving time, you can duplicate this sound file twice, calling them sound_tacho_-10 and sound_tacho_-20 respectively. Of course, you can record whatever your heart desires into these sound files, for example: “Dude, don’t be impudent! I’ll tell your boss everything!:D

Ok for the language it's true that it's quite simple to understand, and for the "sound tacho -30 ok I understand better now it's just a reminder to say that time is running out.
