Sorry for my english, i'm german and try to write english without translator;-)
Just an idea. Did you go to Settings, under FaceAPI v3.2.5 and clicked on Start?

Attaching my settings, if anyone wants to try Facetracknoir 1.70.
If it's too sensitive, go to Curves and adjust downwards on Yaw in there.
I lock most axises with Shift+Ctrl+Z and center the cockpit-view with Shift+Ctrl+C

How could you possibly see the keyboard to control the game?

I didn't read all the messages about this topic, but I also suggest the FreeTrack as seen here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aaMWPqyvIkE

I've been told that FreeTrack is more sensitive to the motion perception.

I have a Playstation Eye camera and it works very well here using a 3 point cap leds.

I'm trying to get FTNIR to work with the game, but unfortunately, I only get response for up and down movement. Why is this?

EDIT: OK, now the games is able to pick-up the up-down, left-right movement, but not rotating the head. It's just the camera that moves, not the head. (as in the position of the camera.)

Well I decided to buy a cheap camera (logitech C510) from ebay and I am glad I did, thanks to this thread I now have head tracking in ETS2 and saved a good £100 in the process. :D

It is taking a bit of getting used to though.

Edit: Thanks mamsa, those settings seem to be the best I have tried so far. :D
