Hi!

How about converting the SCI Wheels to the ETS2?

Is that legal?

I 100% agree with this.
And about buying the accessories, thats because you can only win it one time and since this is RNG, you cannot get all of those mini trucks on your own, thats why SCS made it so people can sell them to other players on Steam and that is not "cheating".

Sound Modder Here. Hope someone replies.

So my question is can i still edit sound samples or use sound samples from the base SCS file to a redefined sound mod?

The Independent and originally created sound mod content I did from other sources being many, I've made some redefined sound mods of the original sound mods that were in the base SCS file. Ive done this with respect to not finding suitable samples to create and understanding that the original sounds in the base SCS file can be redefined to what is necessary to achieve the sound improvement it needs.

"People who randomly get what they want/what fetches a good price don't complain." No, really?

So far I got random flags of countries I don't care about, like Luxembourg, randomly the lamer yellow digger from the Big Sur event, and randomly the ugly Norbert Kiss Mercedes.

When is it my turn to "randomly" get the better stuff?

It's not that they were allowed, it's that no one was ever said they weren't.

Part of the problem is that the files are all in the base game, and modders are used to using files found in the base game. You have to own the base game to use the mods, so it's not a massive issue.

So when you have these Steam Inventory items that only require def editing to work (they don't touch the models at all) you can understand why modders thought it was acceptable, the fact that these items can be EARNT FOR FREE by playing the game like other accessories are, also blurred the line a little. As such some modders, myself included I might add, assumed they were fair game. They weren't considered in the same way DLC content vs modding is because of the fact they can be earnt for free and are in the base game files.
Has anyone tried to do the same with any of the previous WoTr rewards? I know there were more than a few who wanted that purple Christmas tree hanger from the most recent Christmas event.

If not, why all of a sudden now? And if so, why didn't SCS step in during those times (as they should have)?

@schleichDi What's wrong with Luxembourg? That's my truck HQ, man! 😝

you can, all items since Steam Inventory is used, and i did with the last 2 Christmas trees to see how they looked like and how much they cost, but SCS removed the last 2 from the files, so nobody can get them without having the source data for it

and why now ? maybe it started to show more and more, till now i didnt fine a single mod that had WoTr accessories in them, but i found some mods that had DLC content for free in them and now is the time SCS is feed up with it and takes actions against it

my question is about the DLC does this rule apply to them too, ie if some editor extracts the DLC and uses some of the content on a map, is that also prohibited? :?: :|
