Amsterdam and Rotterdam can coexist in a 1:19 map. Especially Rotterdam can be expanded further south and west (port) so it doesn't get too close to Amsterdam.

A DAF dealer might be better off in Eindhoven, just like Volvo in Goteborg and Mercedes-Benz in Stuttgart.

A road I would really like to see is the N57-N254-N62 road which starts from the A15 and ends at the Belgium E34. It could be home to a boat construction company (Damen/Amels irl) and a shipping company, both in the Sloehaven (port of Vlissingen) and is a very scenic route over the Delta works and along several islands and peninsulas. Being 70km from Rotterdam port and 60km from Antwerp as the crow flies, it's not close to any other city. We've seen in Iberia that a proximity of tens of kilometers isn't a big deal if it's a small city, so design wise it would fit quite nicely I presume.

I was kidding about ditching Amsterdam, and the Daf dealer in Rotterdam is just for me because i start most new profiles (and i do that a lot) in Rotterdam and mainly play the game with Daf trucks, so also not meant serious.

Fully agree with your suggestions for new locations.

idk if you've played T-region, but that's a 1:2 scale map of NL, which as a standalone map and all it features is a really nice scale for that map, but of course too much for the entire NL in the vanilla game, i still think a larger than 1:19 scale could benefit the Benelux, and makes it easier to add a few more cities.
Your suggestions about Zeeland are really nice, but i wonder if between Rotterdam and Antwerpen (which should be added imho) the space doesn't get too crowded in the current scale.
Do like the Promods layout of NL and BE, but they haven't touched Amsterdam (much) and Rotterdam could be a lot better, the Belgian cities seem much nicer done compared to the old Dutch places.

The time has come: "I might edit this in the future ;) "

- The A7 goes over in the N7 at this intersection (Knooppunt Euvelgunne)

The speed limit is reduced to 70 km/h

- Intersection Julianaplein is a very tricky and important one. It connects the A28 with the A7. Currently it has traffic lights and causes big traffic jams in rush hour. I am not sure if this will still be the case when SCS starts reworking the Netherlands. I might edit this in the future ;)

After 6 years it is time to edit my re-research tip for The-Netherlands.

Especially the southern ring road of Groningen (N7). It is finally done!
We now have a smooth connection without traffic lights connecting both parts of the A7.

I would love to share my thought about important roads in northern Netherlands that should be featured in ETS2 on a place like discord. (easier to share images).
I hope this will be usefull for the SCS team @Dirk

List of roads that should be in game:
A7:

A28:

A37:

N33:
Important connection between Eemshaven and the A28. Would love to see destinations like the Eemshaven and Assen in game.

N46:
Important connection between Groningen and Eemshaven.

N366:
Popular truck route from Groningen to Germany, border crossing near Ter Apel.

The Benelux update has been out for a while now, and wow what a job you folks did. Thanks for that.

You did a good job filtering our suggestions (well, filtering mine anyways) for which things were too theme parky or not and which would fit the scale of the map. I love the recognizable details, like the road with wide median strip on the Veluwe, classic. (And I did spot the sandy area!) Also the tunnel in the A2 at Utrecht. I've been driving on that bit pretty regularly lately, 1:19 really doesn't leave space for everything, does it? I love the Evoluon at Eindhoven. That'll be on my World of Trucks profile for a while.

But the non-Dutch parts of the map too, maybe more so. The Salm area in Belgium. Who even cares about the Salm? Well, aside from me, because I love that little river. But the best part of the Benelux update is probably Luxembourg. When entering the 1.59 Beta I started there, I drove like 200 meters and I knew where I was. I have been to Luxembourg city maybe 4 times. I was just like "that's where the weird touristy elevator would be, and doesn't that fountain have a statue in real life? It's uncanny how recognizable that city is.

So... yeah, good job.
