[REL] ProMods: Canada v1.6.2 updates and discussion | 1.59

Forum rules
SCS as a company do not wish to have paid mods on this forum. While we understand that not all paid mods use the Intellectual Property of other companies/people, it is very hard to moderate what is and isn't acceptable when money is involved. There are also concerns that it could look unfavorable to potential work partners going forward if SCS allow mods that may potentially use unlicensed branding.
Posting in the Mods forum (ATS and ETS2) is restricted to sharing free-to-the-public mods and providing support for mods. For more details, please check the Forum Rules.

Very nice trip you had made, but with SCS who intends to set foot in British Columbia you will soon have almost nothing left to create, just to embellish and retouch what SCS will have missed ;)

I hope all won't be lost for ProMods Canada when SCS does come. What I really hope they will do is add to what SCS does not do. Like take some of those XXX barriers and basically do and expansion mod instead. With such a small team on ProMods Canada, it seems much much easier to do small portions instead of trying to cover such a huge area.

Yes, as I said, I really hope that they'll fill in the gaps left by SCS, and build on what SCS has done and not just decide to keep their card and do away with everything SCS has done.

Otherwise, if option 2 is chosen, it will be without me because I will always choose to play what SCS offers and do without mods as much as possible

Yeahhh sadly I have to agree. Less mods to keep up with. I like it when my mods don't break. The mods I use now, I haven't had to update is like 2-3 years. Its only 5-7 mods I mainly use. But I'd love to use my heavier modded profile that I used for ProMods Canada if its piggy backed off SCS. We can get a much larger Canada and they don't have to remove so many things for each sector.

^Bricks already linked us to that research on the previous page. It's the big bold letters.

Think it's pretty safe to say that won't happen - ProMods Europe has consistently incorporated SCS's latest map DLCs/base map rebuilds, taking the best of SCS and the best of ProMods and merging them together. I imagine something similar will happen for Canada

Ah, it's good to be waiting for this, so we'll have something really good in Canada, because when we see what P.M.E. is doing to take the best of SCS and PM and merge them, it's the best ;)

Interesting news yesterday on promods discord - they're working on Hyder, Alaska. That means highway 37A from Meziadin Junction to Stewart.
