While we understand that not all paid mods use the Intellectual Property of other companies/people, it is very hard to moderate what is and isn't acceptable when money is involved. There are also concerns that it could look unfavorable to potential work partners going forward if SCS allow mods that may potentially use unlicensed branding.

It's really nice to see content appearing. Well done to the small team working on PM Canada, especially Sam, because I know this work comes from him ;)

Looks pretty good actually. Should be a nice addition to the map.

Is it just me or doesn't it feel like the scale in the gameplay preview was kinda weird? Or was there some cut I missed? I mean passing Langford at minute 5:35 and then already at Nanaimo Airport at 8:45 which is an 85 km drive IRL in such a short time, completely ignoring the city of Duncan. Just trying to understand, maybe it's too difficult to include for whatever reason?

It's a little over an hour drive in real life, which works out to be about three minutes in real time. So it's accurate. Duncan may be missing for scale reasons. Lots of real life cities aren't portrayed at 1:20 scale.

The map scale is pretty brutal in that area unfortunately. I considered trying to get Duncan represented but in the end you would've had a very cramped (and quite poor) representation of Duncan connected to Nanaimo/Victoria by two super short, generic sections of highway. I instead decided to focus on representing some of the more 'iconic' views on Vancouver Island, the forest through Goldstream Provincial Park, the Malahat Summit Viewpoint and Nanaimo Airport filled the gap quite nicely.

Having visited Duncan recently, I would've loved to get it (and other places like Ladysmith) in the game, but there's just no space to give it a decent representation, and I wouldn't have been happy creating a few generic city intersections and giving it the name 'Duncan' just for the sake of trying to include all the major towns along the route

At 1:20 scale, Duncan missing really should not have to be explained. Not everyone understand scale. Even when some do.....they still don't. Things are not put into perspective until its a city you live in and drive it in the game to notice why its not there. You notice a lot is truncated just to get in enough to feel the vibe.

I grew up in a city in California with almost 100,000 people and there's zero trace of it in ATS. Like even the bay the city is located in doesn't exist.
