[ATS/ETS, TOOL] Mods Studio 2 v.2024.01 [16.03.2024]

Forum rules
SCS as a company do not wish to have paid mods on this forum. While we understand that not all paid mods use the Intellectual Property of other companies/people, it is very hard to moderate what is and isn't acceptable when money is involved. There are also concerns that it could look unfavorable to potential work partners going forward if SCS allow mods that may potentially use unlicensed branding.
Posting in the Mods forum (ATS and ETS2) is restricted to sharing free-to-the-public mods and providing support for mods. For more details, please check the Forum Rules.

Thank you guys for making skinning much easier!

Since this version supports new TGX, does it support the new TGX Rigid chassis addon by Kast as well?

@XRRoyI looked on our discord server and there is talk of it being coded. But due to the amount of accessories, it is taking time for that person to develop it :)

Owlfelino has provided the code in text format (right click the link and select save target as ...) which can be added to a vehicles xml template. You can use the tutorial below to add the code that Owlfeino has produced :)

He put the following instructions on our discord server:
Here are the paint parts in base mod. Just paste this into your vehicles' xml. Unique parts of each vehicle (like deflectors, exhaust filter and front fender bottom) are not included, they'll be shared soon.
To clarify, we only support the default SCS vehicles officially. That said; we provide x2 ways you can add modded vehicles: (1) create an XML template by using either Notepad++ to code it yourself; or (2) you can use the MS2 user interface. Please see the following tutorials on how to add them: https://www.mods.studio/tutorials/how-t ... l-template ... Youtube video tutorial.

Thanks, I actually just joined Discord before seeing your reply. :lol:
And I sorta understand how complicated it would be for someone to write such file from scratch, for example, I am still clueless about how all the sii and tobj interact with each other... so seeing you guys being able to write A WHOLE PROGRAM to help modding is mind boggling. :o

Please make sure you are using the latest version of Mods Studio 2 prior to installing any patches below (v2023.1). See https://www.mods.studio/news/mods-studi ... 1-released

Download the below xml file to "Mods Studio 2 > Data > ModData > SCS > Vehicles" and over-write (replace); if asked by Windows.

Provided by Lucasi (MS2 discord staff). Power hood added.

A question. Downloaded ATS.westernstar.49x, Mods Studio 2 sees the new Power Hood accessory. But when I open the save skin of the old version of the truck, this accessory is not there. How can I add this accessory to the old version without creating a new skin?
I speak English fluently... with a dictionary!

pete_agreatguy, I'm sorry, false alarm! I opened the save, but forgot to press the "Add image" button in the accessories. That's a holey head! :oops:
