There are also concerns that it could look unfavorable to potential work partners going forward if SCS allow mods that may potentially use unlicensed branding.

Re: Kenworth K100-E
I will confirm. There is no problem with it on version 1.45......
Re: Kenworth K100-E
Is Mr Overfloater around? I've just picked up ETS2 again for a change but the OF K100E over there is a few updates behind. Although it runs well enough it's got that issue with the reflections which we saw on numerous mods somewhere around version 1.42, which makes the mirrors too bright in the day and too dark at night, also the chrome looks off. So I'm wondering if the ETS2 version could be brought up to date.
Alternatively since I believe the ATS version is updated beyond that, anyone know which files control that reflection issue? I could, no doubt, copy them over from the ATS to the ETS2 version. Just copying the entire up to date truck over causes some other problems with things like trailer hoses which are not the same. Maybe if I copy just the automat directory? I've a vague idea that it's somewhere in there...

Re: Kenworth K100-E
I've been using this truck for quite sometime and i JUST found out the 3 extra long hidden chassis options (one hidden in game, 2 hidden in the chassis 3D model), i might be super late to that party but for some reason i just think it is very funny how Overfloater did it.
Re: Kenworth K100-E
He explained the hidden chassis buried in this thread somewhere. Short story, he hates the look of it but he wanted to provide the option for those that wanted it. The code to get it was pretty clever though.
I really wish the ETS2 version was updated at the same rate as the ATS one though. I haven't played ETS2 without it since updates ceased.

My post are only thoughts and ideas. Don't assume it makes ATS.

Default reflections can be found within the game's "material/environment" folder.Llewelyn wrote: ↑27 Aug 2022 18:11 Is Mr Overfloater around? You can write almost any way you want, and you might make yourself understood.
But, if you don't use standard English properly, you would also help people understand that you aren't well educated.

Hi Mr. Overfloater,
I am trying to do a skin on your K100e and the internal name not working.

Code: Select all
<InternalName>kenworth.k100e_of</InternalName>
<VehicleAuthor>Overfloater</VehicleAuthor>
<VehicleName>Kenworth K100E 1.40</VehicleName>
<VehicleType>OldTrucks</VehicleType>
Wobble at high speeds?
Love love love this truck.
However I am finding a bit of an issue steering at speeds >55mph due to a very noticeable side to side "wobble" that prevents traveling in a straight line easily.
its not game breaking but definitely unpleasant.
I don't have any issues with the standard SCS trucks or any other add on MOD trucks.
It seems to affect the K100 only.
I can eliminate it by turning off Force Feedback, but obviously i dont want ZERO FF.
Any ideas gentlemen?

Stiffen up the suspension or stability settings under the gameplay options. Or are you using a physics mod? They don't always play well with mod trucks.

Re: Kenworth K100-E
Or, if you don’t want to adjust the suspension settings, add a bit of non-linearity to your steering in the controls menu. This method helps eliminate the wobble by making small steering inputs not so sensitive.
Re: Kenworth K100-E
Yeah, I found that. Went a-looking at the physics and the chassis settings of the Merc Actros 8x4 in ETS2, and sure enough the residual travel of the suspension was lower. Editing the chassis specs for that seems to make it better. I think in one of the recent updates they altered the suspension damping rates a bit, although I didn't see any difference in the damping rate in physics.sii
