ATS concept map (fanmade)
Re: ATS concept map (fanmade)
Fort Collins to Sterling, via CO-14, should be possible.
Towns between those, is another thing.
Ops, forgot to post this.

Re: ATS concept map (fanmade)
What is the value of CO-14 when we already have US-34 from Loveland to Wiggins? It seems they are very close to each other.
If I could have another road in Colorado, I would want US-24 between Colo Springs and Limon, or US-34 between I-76 and Wray.

Re: ATS concept map (fanmade)
Definitely US-34 to Wray. Bushnell is down that road already. I too would rather it instead.
My post are only thoughts and ideas. Don't assume it makes ATS.

Re: ATS concept map (fanmade)
Yeah, that 1 would be nice. But where to put it?
One option could be https://www.google.com/maps/dir/40.2330 ... m1!1b1!3e0
But that road ingame, is very very close to Denver Airport. If it is pushed a little bit closer to I-76.
US-24 between Colo Springs and Limon, yes please.
Value of CO-14?
CO-71 / NE-71 north. Unless that road is omitted.

Re: ATS concept map (fanmade)
Well its not US-36. US-34 is already close to I-76 by nature. The only thing that needs to really happen is figure out the junction for it. I'd do exit 90 though @ CO-71. That is where CO-71 can start as its beneficial to Nebraska to Scottbluff. No matter what, CO-71 can get in. CO-14 connecting may or may not happen. We can get CO-14 East of CO-71 for sure. But getting it back to I-25 is questionable.
US-24 is a no brainer. That one should have been a day one road to be honest. Its a very short road which couldn't have been that much trouble.

Re: ATS concept map (fanmade)
flight50, I would love that exit90 on I-76.
But that would need a redo of that part of the road.
Moving the weight station, is a must. And instead of CO-71 turning east, ingame it should turn west, due to Sterling.

Re: ATS concept map (fanmade)
I was actually speaking of CO-14 turning East to Sterling, not
CO-71. CO-71 runs North to South. CO-14 runs East to West.

Re: ATS concept map (fanmade)
Additional roads in Colorado I would most want:
1. US-24, Colorado Springs to Limon. There is already a stub in Limon, and one in Colorado Springs, though it's the old style before they built an interchange for it with CO-21. Though there's not really room to do the interchange in ATS I don't really care, just use the current stub and build us the road. They could take creative liberties with it to lengthen it and use cutplanes if it's too close to something else. In real life if you want to go east from Colorado Springs you would use this instead of going through Denver.
2. CO-14, Fort Collins to US-40. Fantastically scenic road that goes north of Rocky Mountain Nat'l Park - an alternate route west from Fort Collins that skips interstate travel but you don't get a fine for taking with a truck.
3. CO-14, I-25 to Sterling. Stubs exist on both ends. I was recently picking up a load on the west side of Sterling and was disappointed to have to drive all the way east back through town to get to I-76, when in real life I would have just headed west on CO-14.
4. US-287, Fort Collins to Laramie. Both stubs are there, let's connect them.
5. US-24, Divide (CO-67) to US-285. Taking loads west from Cripple Creek (Colorado Springs NAMIQ) would naturally use this instead of turning east back to I-25.
6. CO-71, entire length. This exists in pieces in ATS, but actually has many of the stubs needed. Making a junction on I-76 would be the hardest part of adding this.
7. US-160, east of Trinidad. I'm hoping this one comes with Oklahoma or Kansas DLCs.
8. US-34, I-76 to Wray. I'm thinking it would have made more sense to add Brush as a scenic town and connected CO-71 and US-34 here, but they gave us Wiggins instead.
9. US-40, Kit Carson to Cheyenne Wells. It's not that great of a distance, and would help with adding more density. Alternatively maybe get CO-96 from Eads to Sheridan Lake - might be more useful if Scott City, KS is a thing with Kansas DLC.
10. CO-10, Walsenburg to La Junta. I know the stub is there in Walsenburg, and I think it's there in La Junta too though I'm less positive about that. This one would add density and shouldn't be in the way of anything else.
11. US-6, eastern portion and part that passes the Eisenhower/Johnson Tunnels. Eastern portion not really as important other than to add density, the tunnel bypass would be quite the technical challenge to implement but would be a realistic thing for trucks carrying hazmat or oversize loads.
12. CO-83/US-85. Alternate route to I-25, but close enough to be useful for detours.
Bonus. CO-13, Craig to I-70 / CO-131, US-40 to I-70. Either or both of these because CO-139 is far to the west.

Re: ATS concept map (fanmade)
That's a huge list, lol. The ones that I can see honestly is 1,4 and 8. I've pitched for 7 a few times. We got US-350 instead. US-160 would be nice for Kansas. But US-50 more than likely gets the nod as it continues and it runs concurrent with US-400 into Dodge City. I don't think a ton gets added to Colorado though. CO-13 to I-70 destroys the mountains. They should have incorporated that in their plans to begin with but doing it now does require quite a bit of rework.

Re: ATS concept map (fanmade)
Yeah, I don't really expect all of these to be added, or any of them short term. I agree that US-50 is for sure going to be in. My wish list is in addition to that.
1 & 4 could come with a later update. 7, 8, & 9 could come with Oklahoma/Kansas/Nebraska DLCs. 10 seems like it shouldn't be too hard to do but doesn't add a lot of value so I would be surprised if they did it. Anything else I would be happily shocked if they were to appear.
