ATS concept map (fanmade)
Re: ATS concept map (fanmade)
@Ryley03d The map is already up to date. Don't forget, the ingame map of Texas is already known since weeks.
Re: ATS concept map (fanmade)
I meant the wanted/missing roads
Re: ATS concept map (fanmade)
Suggestions: US-281 from McAllen to Wichita Falls, US-380 from Roswell to Brownfield. A little chunk of US-70 east of Plainview. Vernon as scenic (if we get US-70 into Oklahoma west of Grandfield).

Re: ATS concept map (fanmade)
@Ryley03d For missing roads I use the map from Truck Simulator Wiki, I will update it when the current version of the map appears there.
@Trakaplex I think it's too much. The only missing parts I can see are Big Bend area, future I-14 corridor and northeast (which will be there after Oklahoma release anyway). But they are not critical, the map already looks good.

Regarding Paris, US-82 from Wichita Falls.
Tyler to US-82, looks quite much as US-69 meeting it?
But I guess things can change.
At the moment, no sigh of the ring road south of Paris.
Texarkana, that might be possible, before Arkansas.
Wonder if SCS will divide it or not? Possibility is there.

NTM's B-Double Telescopic Skeletal Container Carrier. Youtube video on how it works. W & S thread.
B-Double trailer and short modes: EN 7.82 swap body, 20’ or 30’ containers.
Standalone 40' mode: EN 7.82 swap body, 20', 30', 40' or 2 x 20' trailer.

Re: ATS concept map (fanmade)
US-69/US-82 appeared in the map editor. So it's likely we will get Greenville, I see no sign of TX-24. Sulphur Springs can at least be inaccessible.Shiva wrote: ↑18 Nov 2022 20:44 Regarding Paris, US-82 from Wichita Falls.

Re: ATS concept map (fanmade)
ads678 it is but texas dlc palo duro canyon is missing
Also, the roads around Amirillo are missing, this situation is annoying, even the Montana Glacier National Park was not missing.
missing from this texas dlc is the route on hwy state 70 around amarillo

Re: ATS concept map (fanmade)
Surprisingly, ATS now seems to cover more territory than ETS 2!
If my calculations are correct, I got 3,795,712 sq km for ATS and around 3,665,000 sq km for ETS 2 (which was difficult to calculate accurately because Norway, Sweden, Finland and Russia are only partly included).
However, the in-game ATS map is still smaller due to scale difference (1:20 vs 1:19). Given the scale, the real numbers are ~10,500 sq km in ETS 2 and ~9,400 sq km in ATS.
I know that HoR DLC was supposed to come out this year for ETS 2, which would bring another ~700,000 sq km of territory (based on speculation maps) or ~1,900 sq km in game.
Also ETS 2 has more roads due to higher density. But the fact is that maps in ATS and ETS 2 are not that different in size now.
Here is the comparison. I used thetruesize service, also ATS map was scaled down by 5% because of scale difference.

Re: ATS concept map (fanmade)
Interesting @ads678. Thanks for that info. WB and HoR will release eventually but so will OK, KS and NE too. ETS2 is denser for sure but the area now is about the same. It definitely helped getting Montana and Texas this year. It also helps that the ATS map team is equal size to the ETS2 team now. ATS has less base map to rebuild so that will factor into new map dlc's for both games. But if SCS still wants to go for Canada and Mexico, the ball has to get rolling.
My post are only thoughts and ideas. Don't assume it makes ATS.
