Keyboard Controls, etc. not copied when creating new Profile

Hey ohaha,

'Solved' isn't quite correct. The in-game mechanics for the 'cloning' of profile settings remains problematic / confusing.

Reef's suggestion is a 'workaround' for ETS2's profile management shortcomings. I feel it still needs to be placed on the developer 'wishlist', even if reclassified as a feature enhancement.

It is solved, for me, at least, once one of the SCS staff (MAX) has deemed it not on the priority list.
If you still consider it a wish, post it accordingly.

do we actually need the bak profile files

i see in mine there is the profiles folder
profiles 1.3.0 bak
profiles 1.3.1 bak

obviously the last two are backup folders can we delete them or will they just be recreated when the game starts .

If you want to go back to a previous verison of the game then YES, else you can delete them.
I always keep the version I play and the previous one.

I have found if i do the following it sets EVERY single one of my settings from a previous profile apart from whether the music is switched off or not

From the main page of a current profile click profiles .
Then on the profiles page click create new .
Then create the profile and it goes to the types of controls page .
Click the same control as you had before IE Controller then Simple Automatic or which you chose the previous time .
Then click finish wizard

The game then starts up again and ALL my settings are exactly the same for my xbox controller and the keyboard settings/graphics/gameplay .

As i said the only thing that is not set is that the music is on which i have turned off normally but that is simple to turn off
