SCS as a company do not wish to have paid mods on this forum. While we understand that not all paid mods use the Intellectual Property of other companies/people, it is very hard to moderate what is and isn't acceptable when money is involved. There are also concerns that it could look unfavorable to potential work partners going forward if SCS allow mods that may potentially use unlicensed branding.

Re: [REL] Iveco Turbostar by Ralf84 (1.41)
I just waited for this flood of posts about 1.42 update.
Get a life people. Nobody will spend 24/7 to be up to date with every beta patch, jeez.

Biggest update since la de da he says, and wants it early. I can see why mods die off with those kinda comments contantly.SanJose [PL] wrote: ↑01 Oct 2021 09:38 I just waited for this flood of posts about 1.42 update.

@Littlefazer Huh? Sanjose was being supportive of modders. Why would that make them stop modding?

they're responding to me, for daring to express that I'd like to see the mod updated for 1.42 soon. Probably it would only take a manifest edit, but since the base file is locked, I have to ask the modder to to it themselves.

TBF it was a polite request, not just "UPDATE???????" or "1.42 WHEN?"
Re: [REL] Iveco Turbostar by Ralf84 (1.41)
I understand the wish to have the mod for 1.42 available asap, but I also want to remind that the open beta only came out two days ago, there are almost no mods at all for that update, the guides in the "SCS Modding Wiki" are not even available yet and I don't even know what they have changed from 1.41. I ask averyone please to be patient and give me time to understand what has changed, and how to update the mod correctly. Changing a couple of rows in the manifest is not the answer because then, when the mod is bugged because it was updated in a rush, I will receive negative feedbacks from unhappy clients and users. I would like to provide a quality product as (I hope) has been so far. Thanks everybody for your patience.

Indeed it was a reply to sanjose about oscu0's comments. As oscu0 had said.
Apologies if offence is taken but personally anyone even mentioning a update, for a beta, which at that point was about 12 hours old is a little ridiculous regardless of intent. Especially when you look at what is being updated, (1800 degree steering and maybe other things ive missed) as to my unmodded experience looks more than just a manifest change, but happy to be wrong.

Since SCS has started to talk about 1.43 already, it would be really great when this epic truck would be brought to 1.42 at some point in the foreseeable future.
