Colorado Discussion Thread
Re: Colorado Discussion Thread
I was thinking plains would be boring just like RttBS. But I somehow enjoyed a lot driving east of the Denver.

Have Mississippi River and Ohio valleys with roads that zigzag and switch backs. Iowa pretty hilly west of Des Moines to Council Bluffs, Driftless Region of upper midwest its not flat. Ozarks another region lots of Bluffs, hills, ravines. There is no flatness. Plains biomes very different further east especially in Iowa and Missouri far more plant and vegetation variety in non farm areas.
Re: Colorado Discussion Thread
It's been a year already. I like Colorado better than Wyoming though. Too bad the mountainsides make the towns too compact. One disappointment was Boulder (but as I was saying, no space between Denver and Loveland).

The scenery does get greener as you get further east. Also there are cities closer together, and more exits. I think it will work out, plus I’m sure some people want some straight routes to drive as well, they are easier.
Re: Colorado Discussion Thread
If the map expands to the Florida then thousands of miles plains isn't gonna be problem. Because Eastern Texas and corridor to the Florida is full of woodlands. So the game won't stuck with same biome. One plains state one woodland state would make it perfectly.
Re: Colorado Discussion Thread
Haven't read this entire thread but one of things I was disappointed in Colorado was how abrupt the Colorado Springs -> Denver stretch of I-25 is and completely leaving out Monument Hill and Castle Rock. This would allow them to add in the Airforce Academy + Stadium off to the left as you head to Denver. Then south of the Springs it would have been cool if they added in Pikes Peak International Raceway off to the side as you drive past it. Maybe add Golden and the Coors plant to haul beer out of. (If they ever fix anything in Colorado).
Sorry, I commuted between the Springs and Denver for almost a year for work. Those couple of things always stood out to me on the trip.

There will always be things missing. They can't fit everything in. For every 1 thing that does make the game, there are 10+ things that don't. The game is 1:20 scale. If it was 1:15 or 1:10, a lot more could get in.
My post are only thoughts and ideas. Don't assume it makes ATS.

Re: Colorado Discussion Thread
Colorado seems to be a beautiful state but I can only speak for the ATS version I have no idea how Colorado looks in real life because I have never been in the United States. I especially love Steamboat Springs the ATS version makes me think that Steamboat Springs could be a nice place to live IRL.
Re: Colorado Discussion Thread
Colorado as a whole is well done and is as accurate as can be given the scale.
In a world full of swift drivers, I'm an O/O.
